Well we told you folks this, the earth does it naturally and there is nothing we can do about it.

Now there is proof from your very own climate scientists.

Resident experts with zero training in climate science will be along shortly to... call you names and parrot talking points.

If I understand AOC, the rise in CO2 in early earth history was caused by dinosaur flatulence.

There have been many studies that refute "the cause" of Climate Change. I have wide range science knowledge. After years iof researching the subject, it us my oinion that; 1. The climate has been changing, as it has always has. And the extent we can use our knowledge to stop it or slow it down is unknown. 2. We can not do away with current methods of energy before finding a lower cost energy source., because the financial cost to the majority of citizens/taxpayers would be far to high. Believe me, this is a way for the Fed.Gov. to make moire money at the expense of the Tax Payers.

We have to get them out of our daily lives and finances.

Question: which do you think you have more control over?, real control. 1. federal. 2. state, 3. County or City Government? Who do you trust more, a study paid for by the Federal Government or a Study that is not paid for or subsidize ?

I don't care. Two degrees Celsius is an absolute footnote. They won't receive anymore taxpayer dollars, then they already get. Why should citizens continue to piss money down the toilet for needy, greedy hungry groups and interests.

It's the perfect response. I don't want to give these corporate asshats any money on the guise of "fighting global warming/climate change". The people earned that money, made that money and reserve the right to use it how they wish.

You are obsessed about money that has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the SCIENTIFIC FACTS that CO2 is heating our ONLY means of survival at a rate that EXCEEDS 2 degrees.

No amount of money is going to enable you to survive when our means of food production is wiped out by RISING TEMPERATURES.

You know, many trump supporters have been reduced to trolling nonsense as a tactic to distract from his deplorable words and actions.
Ignore the fake news and outright lies and focus on fighting the stupidity of the climate change deniers. The future is not on the side of ignorant reactionaries, but selfishness will always be a human problem until we evolve.

You are right that there is a malignant element in the self imposed ignorance of climate change deniers. Whether it is motivated by selfishness, greed, stupidity or some combination of those negative intentions is not something that can be changed.

However Darwinism ensures that those incapable of adapting to environmental change will not survive so perhaps evolution will take care of the problem for us.

Unfortunately, and especially with the climate, we're all in this together.
Even the Chinese are wising up to the disaster that they are helping to cause.
The majority of the world is now aware of climate change and children at school are growing up with an entirely different mindset than the reactionaries.
Let's hope it's not too late.

Actually, there is quite a lot that can be done about it. A frustration I have with the alarmists is they tend to want me to live my life with a cork up my butt, existing as a Luddite, while the rest of the world goes on doing as they like, to, in theory, SLOW the growth of global warming. But there are things humans can do to warm or cool the global climate. Example: replace tar road ways with bright cement road ways. That would actually reflect sunlight and cool the Earth. How about seeding the atmosphere with reflective materials to do the same? Or, when they told us we would all die in a new ice age by the 80s, they suggested mixing ash with snow in the polar caps to absorb sunlight. I don't know where we are going climate wise, but we have to insist on solutions, not impositions on our standards of living.

What you haven't realized is that climatology is a high growth industry, and it pays pretty well too. "Scientists" will keep churning out study, after study, both pro and con, as dictated by consumer demands. It seems inevitable that until the often predicted, but never realized "point of no return" arrives, the debate will rage on. My prediction is that our sun will super nova before that "I told ya so" event does.

Most of these people don't realize that the worm has finally turned on this "issue".

Every kilowatt of additional electric generating capacity that has been added in this country in the last two years have been from renewables. And renewables also replaced every kilowatt of retired generating capacity, all of which was coal, nuclear or older natural gas. That trend is universally expected to continue and probably accelerate.

The flat earthers are all invested in global warming denial. The oil industry spent millions promoting it as a political ideology in order to protect their business interests. And the far right, which has alway taken its cue right from Wall Street, have sung along.

Fossil fuels and nuclear power require substantial long term capital investments, and pose significant long term liabilities. The substantial capital requirements have been baked into the equation for one hundred years, as the business model of large central power plants feeding a grid go back to Sam Insull.

However, it costs relatively little to put up a windmill, and even less to install solar. And capacity can be added quickly and for a fraction of the capital investment, and with almost no long term liability. The same is true of natural gas.

And costs in both wind and solar are still dropping rapidly.

Tesla installed a successful battery farm in Austrailia. The farm is fed by wind power, and stores the wind generated power, reselling it into the grid at peak demand.

This project has been so successful that it is expected to pay back its investors completely in three years, a payback that hasn't been seen in the electric power industry for nearly 100 years.

This combination will made renewables the peak power provider, and thus, the one that gets paid the higest rate. This is going to flip the economics of renewables completely, as the Austrailian project proves.

All that is needed is for the price of wind, solar and batteries to keep dropping, something that is univerally expected to happen.

With that, the electric power industry can ditch its high cost fixed assets, its liabilites from coal tailings piles, carbon emissions, and nuclear waste.

And that's where the industry is going.

Just in time for the wholesale switch to electric cars.

The proof from our very own climate scientists is that man is pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere and causing warming, sited by the scientific article used for the editorial. It is also sited by the other scientific article sited in the article.

You are actually referring to John Nolte, Editor-at-Large for Breibart when saying this is proof from your very own climate scientists. Its an opinion article you are referencing.

Who is John Nolte? I cant seem to find any information other than writer/director and Editor-at- Large for Breibart.

Yet the cost of electricity in South Australia is more than three times the cost where I live. I am sure that helps everyone right?

The extraction industies have alway paid well.

It doesn't work like that. Progress is gradual, and people adapt to it on an ongoing basis.

You have no idea where your electric power comes from, and you won't particularly care if it come from renewables (although you will probably still be going around telling people that somethign that is already happening isn't going to happen).

That's what actually happens. You wake up one day, and the future is here. Of course, even then there will still be a few flat earthers around decrying it all.

Just like the kids who followed the guy in the curved dash Oldsmobile, yelling "Get a horse", and then turned around in a few years and bought a Ford.

My prediction is that renewables will become at least 50% of the entire power grid in ten to fifteen years, and no one will think anything of it by then. Depending on how fast costs fall, and battery costs fall and technology improves, it may happen faster.

Hilarious. Steyn's speech was in 2015 and the Michael Mann lawsuit is still going on in the DC court.

It may but right now Tesla's storage relies on China and 35,000 child labor, some as young as 6, in the Congo.

These are the same gullibles who believed that terrorists were going to nuke an American city when the Bush/Cheney regime wanted to illegally invade Iraq. They believed that Obama was going to impose Sharia law on the nation and that the ACA would result in millions of doctors retiring from practicing medicine. They still believe that "Mexico will pay for the wall" so obviously they will believe anything regardless as to how ludicrous it is.

Amazing thing is this. The worst case scenario if we switch from fossil fuels to renewables is that we end up with cleaner air and water and we become less reliant on foreign oil. If we're not buying foreign oil, we're not supporting Mid-East terrorists like Iran.

But conservatives are howling like this is the worst thing to happen in the history of man. It simply amazes me that they can be so wrapped up in the team sport that is now politics that they will cut off their own nose just to spite a Democrat ... WTF.
