Britler! I was watching a Sargon of Assad show on youtube. They had a funny concept. The EU must punish the UK for leaving the EU or... lose more members. So that is their goal in these negotiations. This has been compared to the Treaty of Versaille. Punishment and a negotiation which locks us into a bad economic and political treaty designed to cripple and punish us. External aggression/repression serves to unite a populace. With no political recourse to change this under existing party structures, the scene is set.
