In Germany every student is taught the truth of what there forefathers have done so it never repeats itself. Meanwhile the U.S. continues to whitewash the truth concerning the atrocities they have committed. I mean it wasn't that long ago they were debating the virtues of torture, lmao.

The current president is a bedwetting liberal who campaigned on a policy of pandering to the north koreans

If he could keep that policy I'm sure he would but north korea is even worrying him

It was started on false premises as was the Iraq war, the war with Libya, and the war with Yugoslavia. We lie! Face up to it! I did when I realized Washington was supporting terrorists to topple the most secular and tolerant leader in the Middle East.

The Gulf of Tonkin affair was faked

    I concede that

But the effort to save South Vietnman from communist aggression was a noble one

I think his fear of Washington is greater than his fear of Kim... that's how I see it. To be honest, I think all these provocations with N. Korea has more to do with our geo politics and Russia then with the nut job.

Donald Trump became the 48th President of the US on January 20, 2017. A month and ten days later, Park Geun-hye (South Korea’s first female president) was impeached and removed from office (March 10, 2017). Moon Jae-in is the current President of South Korea. Moon was elected after the impeachment of his predecessor, he assumed the office on May 10, 2017.

SK is one of the world's largest conventional army - it's bigger than NKs.

But do it anyway - install all the missile systems you want. Heck, give them The Bomb (it won't make any difference) - as long as you cease to destabilize the region and leave. You have no place in the dragon's den; right now it tolerates you, that's what he does. Because the day he won't...

    Your ignorance is appalling

And so is your unreasonable hatred for America

I laugh at your generalist link, as I laugh at your insults. Here is a military comparison that matters:

    https://www.globalfirepower.com/cou...rth-korea&country2=south-korea&Submit=COMPARE

Look at the GFP ranking (12th vs 23th on 133), and the defense budget, which is six times higher in SK.

    Who is ignorant now?

The NK economic system and political ideology crush the NK people. It's a living hell. American sanctions are a joke; they're meaningless. And they would be rescinded in a second if NK dropped the commie thing and joined the 21st century.

The SK people would much rather have the U.S. looking over their shoulder than to live under Kim's barbaric rule.

Looks like they don't have much of a choice one way or the other, do they.

What you do not understand is that North Korea has enough firepower to destroy muck of what the South Korean people have been able to build

It is the blackmail threat that the communists have relied on for 40 years first with artillery and now with missiles

Kim does not care about destruction to his country but is hoping that the South Koreans care about theirs

South Korea will win a conventional war between the two, even without US assistance, as my link demonstrated. KJU won't nuke SK, ever, since he wants it, it would amount to nuking himself.

You are one of the occupiers of SK, and have been threatening NK during these same 40 years - after killing off 37% of their population and starving the rest of them. The people there doesn't want you. You are the kind of "guests" that never leave, are you? Like a dog of war. One of these days it will be your downfall. It's already begun; there's nothing you can do about it, except pull over with what remains of your dignity.

    You lost.

It was never a question of winning

South Korea does not want to suffer the damage of a war with the north

In a sense they lose even if they win

Only very uninformed people believe the US occupies S Korea

We are there with their approval to protect our mutual interests

Actually Kim has made quite a few reforms, and there has been growth in the N. Korean economy. .. so you're not right. You have to stop believing the world wants to be like Americans and live like Americans. They don't! People want economic growth, but not at the loss of their own cultural standards and way of life. The idea that our own standards are superior, and that they have to be imposed on others, is the main reason we're hated in the world.

Besides if you think everything is so great here, then ask the young people who live in basements, and can't pay off their student loans. As for Washington, they're too busy making war on the world to give a damn about them. I guess they feel a draft's the best way to get rid of them.

Anyway this whole thing with N. Korea has to do with our economy and Russia's competitiveness in LNG gas, which is going to be shipped from the port of Vladisvostok to the Far East, as well as Europe from its northern route now that the ice has melted.
There are also the grain shipments to the Far east from Vladisvostok, which has now overtaken the US and Canada.

These provocations towards Kim was deliberate so we could put missiles in S. Korea to threaten Russia in case of war, and Kim was foolish enough to fall for them. I did read though that there are back door negotiations between our government and N. Korea... probably because the US now has its missiles in S. Korea and not too far from Vladisvostok... which I believe is what Washington really wanted.

What can be expected from now on, is the involvement of other nations in the negotiations, since Kim makes a habit of blackmailing the US. Of course S. Korea and Japan will have to contend now with the nuclear arms in the area ...and all because Russia dares to threaten American hegemony.

You mean the student loans that went to greedy liberal academics as windfall profits

Kim and Trump are like a tag team, they feed off each other, "sea of fire", "little rocket man", "fire and fury", "complete destruction", "barking dog", lefties are apoplectic over Trump with that "nuclear button", but nothing is happening. It will be amusing to see what the critical left does when Trump complains about Kim's atmospheric test. Given the knee-jerk opposition to anything Trump says (just look at how suddenly kneeling at the anthem is even patriotic now), I expect Kim's threatened mushroom cloud over the Pacific will be strongly supported even by the environmentalists!
