Nikolai Glushkov: Putin critic 'strangled in London home by third party'

    ...

Mr Glushkov fled Russia after being accused of fraud during his time as deputy director of the Aeroflot airline, and was granted political asylum in the UK in 2010.

    ...

His death came a week after the Novichok poisoning in Salisbury of the Russian former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.

Paramedic Dominic Biel told the inquest the scene of Mr Glushkov's death was "suspicious" and recalled how Natalia's boyfriend Denis Trushin said: "Don't touch anything until the police come here - someone's killed him."

    ... ctd: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-56695489

Of course, I'm sure Putin knows nothing about it and Jenny will be along soon with a bad poem and a large animated GIF to drive the point home.

Russia is the 4th biggest threat to freedom in the world and we shouldn't be at all surprised.

Tsar Vladimir's regime is a threat to individual lives and a menace to democracy and the western order. As for ranking how big a threat they are, that would be complicated.

Slight corrections to your spin. First off, Mr Glushkov was convicted of stealing over $100 million from Aeroflot Airlines....a publicly traded company. Would you rather shareholders around the world just get screwed?

Second, he was a crook....sure he was a critic of Putin because Putin sought justice for Aeroflot and by extension shareholders of Aeroflot.

Third, he was found dead over 3 years ago. Surely the Brits are not so incompetent they can't figure out a cause of death for 3 years....well maybe they are that incompetent.

Fourth, Novichok the boogie man is also produced by several other countries, like the US, the UK, Germany and a couple more.

Fifth, the BBC is garbage like CNN. That joke of an article speaks for itself. I suppose every Russian that commits suicide or is a victim of a crime from now on was a 'critic' of Putin and Putin personally laced their borscht with Novichok. :roflol:

    Slight corrections to your propaganda.

Point 1, Mr. Glushkov was convicted by the Russian "justice" system under the control of the Putin regime. It was corrupt under Communism and it is corrupt now, sadly.

Point 2 is your opinion and also betrays a strong pro-Putin bias.

Point 3, a thorough investigation takes time. It is not a matter of incompetence so much as however their process works.

Point 4 is an unfounded and baseless assertion and sounds like Russian propaganda.

Point 5 is more of your baseless and biased opinions. I will add here from the story originally linked:
Mr Glushkov was a close friend of oligarch Boris Berezovsky, a vocal critic of Mr Putin, who was found hanged at his Berkshire home in 2013.

Isn't it interesting how many Putin critics who have sought asylum in the UK have ended up poisoned or suicided?

As to Point 3, says the person who is ready to convict Derick Chauvin even before the trial has concluded. :roflol:

As to Point 4, it's funny how the Russians are so backwards, so stupid, so neanderthal when it comes to technology and medicines but they are the only sobs that could create a nerve agent 40 years ago that all the other 'better than thou' countries can't create even at present date? :roflol::roflol::roflol:

You're a funny guy, man. Keep living' the Cold War and spinning a vinyl of the Bee Gees. I suggest that you never visit Russia because your whole understanding of it will be in a for a major shock. You may even figure out the media has been lying to you.

Putin makes Hillary and Bill look like a pikers. The guy understands the art of dealing death rather being considered a failure.

Wow, now you're really flailing. We don't create crap like Novichok because we adhere to laws and treaties.

    Perhaps the BBC is 'garbage'
I think so at times when it flogs the leftist, liberal view of the world.
But 'garbage' compared to what? Russia's RT News, in English 24/7 ??????
    Or Chinese State News?
How about North Korea's Korea Central TV with four stations??????

No my friend, the BBC has long been respected as a RELATIVELY unbiased
program - and was thought so by Germans in WWII and the suffering Eastern
Block nations during the Cold War.

Why is London such a dangerous place for Russians?

Maybe it serves him right anyway. He should have been smart and quickly negotiated a return to Moscow like the other tax evaders did after the Skripal poisonings. They realized their lives were in danger, and they might become the MI6's latest asset for their anti Putin propaganda.

That's what happens when you try to hold on to your money at the risk of your life. Of course considering it happened so quickly after the Skripal poisonings he might not had time to go back to Moscow and safety. Who know?

Murder in lieu of returning home to face charges is acceptable to you?

Should we have Edward Snowden "suicided" in Russia for refusing to come home and face charges? CHRIST almighty!

Yes, take that, you would be critics of comrade Vlad! Unless you can prove Putin's culpability in every case, worldwide, of a Russian who commits suicide (w/ Novichok? or by strangling himself?) or is the victim of a crime, that PROVES that Putin was not involved in a single one!

Beware, before you post-- there is no doubt more of that genius to be unleashed upon Putin-detractors, by our own Mr. Bill Carson! (Funny, that is such an anodyne name, it sounds like something a spy would make up).

P.S.-- And you must get your news from TASS, or it will be called garbage!

Q - Does Putin pay tax on his billions?
A - No because he doesn't acknowledge having billions. He and about 100 cronies
essentially own half of Russia. Doubt any of them pay taxes.

But... killing someone, in a foreign country, for evading taxes... nah. Don't buy it, anymore
than I buy the thousands of Russian 'volunteers' now stationed in Ukraine.

Poohbear, it seem to have inner knowledge on where Putin's billions are hidden, why don't you tell Washington? They've been searching for it for two decades now.
And I thought that the tax evaders all left for London, New York and Tel Aviv when Putin took office. Thanks for the information.

But you're right no one would be killed for not paying taxes, but they would be killed by the MI6 to demonize Putin, as well as to keep the billions from being withdrawn from the London banks and sent back to Russia.

So M16 has bumped off all of Putin's opponents to demonize him. Strange situation, or strange
    people who would think that.
Putin is in a difficult situation that if he retires others could come after him to recuperate that
money. So he must stay in office till he dies.
