With Unemployment Rate at 15% – Nine RINO Senators Including Lindsey Graham Push President Trump to Offer More Work Visas to Foreigners
    by Jim Hoft
    May 2020

The unemployment in the US currently stands at 15% now.
There are over 39 million Americans who have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus.

And yet on Wednesday nine US Republican Senators wrote President Donald Trump telling him not to restrict work visas for foreigners.

Lindsey Graham was one of nine RINOs who want to bring in more foreign workers when there are 39 million Americans out of work.
    These people are soulless.

These RINOs insist it will be good for the economy. Really??

Lou Dobbs has more than a few things to say about this:

This seems to harken back to the days before Trump, and perhaps demonstrates that there is deep split that exists within the Republican Party, when it comes to the matter of outsourcing and immigration policy.

Who might that be since both sides are sounding the same?

On this issue, bipartisanship does seem to be the order of the day. But at the moment I'm only concerned with the GOP.

The legislators will pretend that they can only go as far as the courts allow. Remember that B.S. you were taught in school about three separate, but equal branches of government?

Lou Dobbs is not too swift.

Given that farmers are having trouble getting their product to market ( this was before the virus ) what the Nine senators recommend is good for America. That's intelligent conservatism, doing what is good for a market.

We need workers in the fields, and you're not going to see Americans doing this kind of work, even with high unemployment, no way, José ( semi-pun intended ).

    And the point is what?

Nothing in those countries changes the situation in America. Unlike Japan, there is no 'connection' between your average American in the 'burbs and agriculture, it's like agriculture exists on another planet. Without immigrants to work the fields, farmers have trouble getting produce to market, period. End of argument. We have a tremendous advantage over Japan and New Zealand, it's called Mexico, and we should be taking advantage of it, but no, republicans don't want them here. I can't think of good reason to prevent them from working our fields, legal or not. If 'legal' is the issue, them make them legal, end of problem.

The problem is, we were discussing one topic, and you are bringing up another related topic that is very contentious and somewhat complicated.
To keep things simple, and to avoid derailing the main discussion, I think we should not bring up that separate discussion here.
We have already extensively discussed that in other threads. That is why, if you want to discuss that, I think we should provide a link to another thread.

I think it is a bit unfair for you to be bringing up that discussion here. That type of thing will just derail the original subject of the thread and is bad form.

The original subject was about immigration in general, and not specifically about farming.
For that reason, I am not going to engage with you here in that specific argument.

Make no mistake, I could easily tear apart your argument, but I just don't like derailing threads and making discussions wander off on tangents.
