Damn straight. Federal government should be stripped to the bone of powers that it was never meant to have. Get rid of the FBI. Get rid of the Department of Education. Defund PBS. Cut the IRS in half. Get rid of Medicaid. Get rid of HUD. Gut the federal bureaucracy. If individual states want any of that stuff, they are free to provide it themselves. We are totally on the same page.

Why would a democrat want to fight until the death because Trump won the election? They will be fighting the will of the people. It's typical of democrats who work hard at dividing us folks. You clearly didn’t read the OP. Murphy didn’t say he’d fight to the death because Trump won. What he said, and is in the OP, is…

That correction done. It’s still a silly thing for Murphy to say. He’s trying to make himself come off as some kind of “tough guy”. He just sounds like a buffoon.

 

I agree that Murphy’s proclamation, beyond unnecessarily hyperbolic, is wrong minded. Patriotic Progressive leaders need to wake up to the fact that we live in a society of dual standards. We must recognize that any violent rhetoric, attributable to a Liberal, will be overly exaggerated and used against them, no matter how metaphoric it’s intent.

One obvious lesson of this election is, that to a majority of Americans, when we grovel in the right wing pig stye, we end up looking like **** and they come out smelling like a rose.

And do we want to be there anyway? We need to rise above their violence and use the rights given to U.S. by our Constitution … if we’re going to successfully uphold our Constitution and it’s Government By The People.

Obviously fighting every action Trump makes. That looks like an attitude that may lose more votes than it gains in the next election. These folks need to understand that their policies were what lost the 2024 election. A good look in the mirror would be a better idea.

 

Watch - Murphy does a book shortly after he is in office. He's just prepping for it now with his RESIST nonsense. He should got take a look at the Jersey voting results. A lot more went for Trump then they anticipated.
