China has good reason to want this issue to be limited to the region, NOT a cause where the world/USA is moving war technology off their coast and/or into locations friendly to the US. I wouldn't call it solely on China, North Korea is the one that hasn't help up their end of the bargain, but China could and should do more, as well as Russia. This why he should be going full throttle with missle defense, there is no turning back now, and it can be used as a bargaining chip against China and Russia to do more.

My bet is that they are far more concerned about having 25 million starving people on their border than they are about invasion from South Korea. And, China knows that containing the NK problem has the advantage of preventing a significant increase in military presence from the US and other countries. The catch is that Trump doesn't know the first thing about international diplomacy and has NO ability to find or accept quality advice from those who do.
I am not saying that South Korea would or could invade China but China is concerned greatly with a reunified Korea.

You're probably right. In fact, I think China is highly likely to prefer that our military was nowhere NEAR that theater - plus the additional threat of having 25 million starving people on its border. But in that case, why are we threatening a major or even nuclear war instead of working with China? Why aren't we moving to make this more about China instead of pressing NK to make it about the USA?
