Hey! Look over there! It's Barak (sic) Obama!

Nice deflection. Failure, but nice try.

WE need a Leader who is measured, thinks before he speaks, is someone who when he says something ,The world listens carefully.

WE don't have that with Trump. He mouth's off at Judges, Statesmen, World Leaders. Trump runs his mouth constantly !

It's going to 3 Long dangerous years for America. Trump's doesn't have what it takes to be Presidential...............

I think Trump has done a good job so far keeping most rouge governments in check, seeing that he's only been in office less than a year.

I haven't seen Syria use chemical weapons in mass attack after Trump flattened some airfields.

The deficit ballooned up under Obama. Look it up.

All it takes is one nuclear bomb hitting anywhere on US soil and our economy will collapse. An EMP strike is most likely. Unless their is coup or regime change in North Korea, most of those on the Korean Peninsula are doomed eventually.

Correct. Actually we've been at war for 67 years. Nothing has changed since Trump took office except NK is getting closer to reaching Chicago.

One still refers to him as Pres. BTW your notion that Pres Obama bowed to the Saudi is diplomatic tact, Pres Bush Jr did it too.

Those are the apologies that President Obama got you bent over? Really. My take is he's creating an alliance instead of hostilities.

I did agree with Trump bombing the chemical weapons airfield. It was the right thing to do.

You're right The deficit did ballooned up under President Obama. The Great recession ....shedding 80 million Jobs GDP was -7 %

Europe problems lasted much longer than America's. President Obama left Trump a solid economy.

I didn't read the words we are sorry or anything like that.
You are changing the meaning of words. That's messed up of you.
If I were expecting an apology that wouldn't due.
    You fail.

Do you have an apology or not?
This is just honest explanations of past behaviors.

    Where's the apology in there?

A ceasefire. That’s still considered at war. If you really are a vet you should know this.

You do not have any right to insult your fellow members by questioning anyone's status as a veteran just because you nay nitvagtree with them.
A ceasefire <Mod Edit- Rule 2> is a lull in fighting and that lull has been in place for 64 years with an occasional breach by the North Koreans when they killed a South Korean or an America.

You want to debate with me go ahead but do not impune anyone's status as a veteran sincectatbus despicable especially if you are not a vet.

    EXCLUSIVE
California Is Already Preparing for a North Korean Nuclear Attack
Beware of radioactive pets, and don’t expect the feds to show up anytime soon.

California Is Already Preparing for a North Korean Nuclear Attack
With U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un trading insults and threatening war, California officials are taking the threat of nuclear exchange seriously.

Noting the heightened North Korean threat, the Los Angeles-area Joint Regional Intelligence Center issued a bulletin last month warning that a nuclear attack on Southern California would be “catastrophic” and urged officials in the region to shore up their nuclear attack response plans.

The report cites North Korea’s late July test of an intercontinental ballistic missile that could, in theory, reach the West Coast of the United States. “North Korea’s propaganda videos feature ruins of San Francisco and Washington,” the document says.“North Korea’s propaganda videos feature ruins of San Francisco and Washington,” the document says.

The 16-page “Nuclear Attack Response Considerations” bulletin is dated Aug. 16 and marked for “official use only.” It was circulated last month to Los Angeles-area local, state, and federal agency personnel and also throughout the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies across the country.

The idea behind the unclassified report was to share planning and guidance with as wide a distribution as possible, according to two officials involved in responding to a nuclear strike and who received the bulletin. Many agencies are involved in responding to an attack and are often staffed with personnel without access to classified information.

DHS did not respond to requests for comment.

Much of the information in the report is based on well-known facts about the effects of a nuclear blast, including the effects of radiation, the possibly of an electromagnetic pulse disabling communications, and the destructive effects of the initial blast on human life and infrastructure.

Citing figures from the Rand Corp., the report says a nuclear blast at the Long Beach Port could cause more than $1 trillion in damage, including loss of life and destruction of homes and infrastructure.

In a section on “radiation protection basics,” the report offers a primer on what to do during a nuclear attack. “Lie face down and place hands under the body to protect exposed skin,” it recommends. “Remain flat until the heat and shock waves have passed.”

There are also sections explaining the basic mechanisms of a nuclear blast as it occurs and discussion of specific things expected to happen in the event of a nuclear attack that should be considered and prepared for in advance.

It also warns of the difficulties government authorities would likely encounter in dealing with the aftermath of a blast. The public will need to evacuate, the report says, but with “limited understanding of radiation risks, they will experience high anxiety and may be non-compliant.”

Challenges with contamination spread by pets and through clothing are among the many public health and logistical coordination issues spelled out for potential emergency responders.

“The consequences of a nuclear attack in Southern California would be catastrophic,” the report says. “Nonetheless, government entities and first responders are expected to remain operational to preserve human life, maintain order, and aid in the recovery process.”

The report, which is largely directed at local, state, and federal agencies and first responders located in the Los Angeles region, notes that the federal government will likely be of limited help immediately after a nuclear blast.

“[T]here will be no significant federal assistance at the scene for 24-72 hours following the attack,” the bulletin says.

    Hi Ardy,

I don't really mind the hyperbole coming from our side. There is no way I can know what our side has told the Russians and Chinese, but I think it is essential that they both understand how serious this situation is getting. If the hyperbole adds to that awareness, then I have to favor it. I think that if there is any chance, however slight, that one or both of those countries will think about really clamping down on NK, or even the remote possibility of taking things into their own hands and getting rid of Kim in favor of a peaceful government, then the hyperbole is worth it.

I agree with you that Trump doesn't want war with NK. I don't believe anyone in this country wants war with NK, including people like the Chief of Staff, Gen. Kelly, and our Defense Secretary, Gen. Mattis. And with those men close to the president, I doubt that the U.S. will do anything rashly for the sake of the optic of "not looking weak". I believe these men close to the president are professionals and very deliberate men. And, I don't think Trump wants a war with NK. I think he intended to deal with the issues he talked about during the campaign, and he only found out about this imminent problem with NK as he was transitioning into the White House. I am confident that, by now, men like Gen Kelly and Gen Mattis have helped Trump fully understand the risks and potential consequences of a war with NK.

So I don't think the conversation should get stuck on hyperbole. The question we should be trying to answer is whether or not we should allow Kim to keep on developing his nuclear program. We need to decide if we are willing to let him have the power to destroy the U.S., because he will eventually acquire that power if his nuclear weapons program is allowed to continue to develop. This is really the only question that matters.

    "Seth"
