Im not really that fond of the Chinese. I used to like them but after dealing with them on a daily basis my experiences haven't been that great.

I also find Russians a little abrupt and sometimes seem a little rude but they are ok.

There are several things wrong with your post. One, there's plenty of animosity among certain people for people of ANY other race. Two, there's plenty of animosity among certain people for people of one particular southeast Asian ethnicity, say blacks for Koreans, for example. Three, there's plenty of animosity among southeast Asians for each other, Koreans for Japanese, Japanese for Chinese, Chinese for Malay, etc., etc. Four, there's plenty of ethnic animosity among southeast Asians of the same nationality; the Chinese government tries to repress everyone who isn't Han, for example. Five, your claim about southeast Asians doesn't explain anti-Semitism. Jews are "generally nice, quiet, respectful, polite, hard-working, law-abiding citizens", but anti-Semitism is still very common. Six, skin color is a marker for "difference". Even if blacks were as law-abiding as whites, some racism would still exist. Seven, animosity, splitting the population into us v. them, is a natural condition of humanity. When we can't find any actual differences, we invent some so we can have a reason to hate. We generally only pull together when we have a common external enemy to focus our animosity upon.

Eight. I don't actually believe this one, but I throw it out there for rumination. You're looking at this through a Euro-centric perspective that is insulting to all other races. Feelings of racism and ethnic superiority are the norm. It's white people who are the weird ones by thinking that all races and ethnicities are (or at least should be) equal. It's European-descended people who are the weird ones by trying to have racially and ethnically diverse populations. No other race or ethnicity does this. All other races and ethnicities do everything in their power to wipe out the rest. Why should Africans be more like white people? Why should southeast Asians be judged by how much like white people they are? Why should middle easterners give any consideration to the rules and mores of white people? It's white people who are the weirdos. Everyone else understands that racial and ethnic hatred is the standard condition of humanity. Why don't you?

To the extent that white domination of the world has brought a greater understanding and acceptance of the idea of the brotherhood of man to non-white peoples, it's been a good thing. On the other hand, Marxism/ Communism is entirely the product of white people, and it's been nothing but death and misery for billions of non-whites.

Agree. In fact, it is a very interesting place to travel to. People were friendly and even just wondering around some of the areas, I felt quite safe. Got a chance to visit some old military museums with hardware left behind from the US and of course old Soviet equipment the North Vietnamese used. Quite interesting.

Just as a point of reference, I was never in Vietnam during the war. Thanks to all of those that did serve.
