Another simplistic statement that shows no thought was put into it. If you're huddled together with your friends for some kind of beach party and someone right next to you with the virus sneezes there's a good chance you'll get it. It really depends on several things including which way the wind is blowing. If someone at a beach bash who has the virus coughs in your direction the wind (depending on the direction it's heading)could blow the aerosol particles right in your face. Rule of thumb try to stay away from non friends and non family members at least 6 to 10 feet. Better to be a live sheep than a dead butthole.

The number one vector the virus used to spread death was healthcare workers. Cuomo comes in a strong #2.

Personally, I think people should be required to wear a mask AND a face shield in crowded places and indoors. I'd also make the fine $5,000 instead of $50. And that is after I shut everything down and beat this virus. But none of that is going to happen. We are going to be suffering a lot for a while while the rest of the world opens up.

Of your goal is minimal transmission by lock-in until the creation of an effective vaccine then your going to have to remain locked down for the duration, years perhaps. Just delaying the inevitable and starving in the process.

    So what's your favorite MRE?

Every other developed nation successfully locked down, and then reopened when the cases were way down. As of today, we are at 57,000 daily cases so this graph is out of date.

The problem now is none of your links have any relevance to your claim. Here it is again.
If what you claim is true, you have no right to go out into the public again. Ever. You can’t drive because you could possibly harm me. You may have the flu and give it to someone who dies as a result. You admitted to underage drinking which harms numerous innocent people every year. As does drinking by adults. Yet that freedom to drink remains even though it causes and has potential to cause crime, accidental death, suicide, higher insurance premiums, etc. etc.

Oh, please. Now you're just trying to have a fight. You know exactly what I meant, you're just obfuscating because you don't think you should have to wear a mask, even if there's a city or state ordinance.

Let's turn that around: what makes you believe you have the right to make someone else sick? Maybe even sick enough to die?

A mask mitigates risk. That is all. Even if you self quarantine indefinitely you will be putting others at risk by expecting services and deliveries to continue.

This virus has a higher death rate than influenza. But influenza kills a lot of people. The logical conclusion to your premise is that everyone must wear a mask now forever because you don’t have the right to make someone sick with C19 or influenza. (Unless I’ve misunderstood and you think it’s OK to kill someone with other infectious diseases, just not C19.) Actually, it’s worse than that because masks only mitigate risk, they don’t eliminate it. To be true to your premise you would have to become a self sustained hermit. I understand the draw of emotional arguments, especially when fear is involved. But your argument is not logical, it’s simply an appeal to emotion.

Talk about brainwashed your stilted Trump think-mind once again has left you floating in the netherworld.

The facts are that cowardly panty waste Senate Republicans know what states are heading towards or have the highest cases and death rates but they're terrified to admit the truth. So they use this B.S on the 5 Democratic Governors as a deflection while Trump keeps dragging their asses ever downward. So now you can shuffle off.

    https://ca.news.yahoo.com/increasin...-a-spike-in-coronavirus-deaths-204507232.html

    YAHOO NEWS

"According to a Yahoo Finance analysis of the University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation’s (IHME) coronavirus death toll model, there is an increasing number of Republican states that are projected to have the highest increases in COVID-19-related deaths.

A previous analysis of the death toll projections for all 50 states and Washington, D.C. found that eight of the top 10 states with the greatest estimated death increases had Republican governors. That figure has now been increased to nine.

What’s more, the analysis found that Republicans govern roughly 70% of the states in the country with the highest increases in death projections.

"Yahoo Finance looked at the current death toll projections through October 1, and compared them with the number of recorded deaths in May. For consistency, the analysis uses IHME figures for all data.

The top state on the list is Texas, leaping up from its previous spot of No. 17 on the list. Its projected coronavirus death count represents a 1,204% increase from the number of deaths recorded by May 8.

According to IHME, Texas is anticipated to have roughly 13,800 deaths by the fall. As of June 20, IHME recorded 2,147 deaths — more than double May’s figure, which stood at 1,053. The figure also represents a large increase on the original projected death increase. In May, it was anticipated Texas would see a 144% increase in its deaths by August.
The current projections are a 738% increase over the original prediction.
Texas was one of the first states to reopen."

13,800 deaths? ROFL. IHME should stay out of the realm of projections. Texas has currently.....2,585 deaths as of July 3rd.

Fall begins Sept 22nd, or that is in two months. Are they sure they really wanna stay with that number? Here's a chance to revise down and I won't criticize them for it.

No ... I'm not ... Where there is a will there is always a way to get the will ...
What is the age limit for you at age 21 is with us age 18 ... or with beer it is age 16. And of course there are also teens here at us who drink harder alcohol with 17 and they also find their ... let me say ... "ways" to get this alcohol ;-)

I was talking about the exsting law and the legal issue as it is written and given ... not the practice of life :-D

ROFL! I am a surfer. None of us roll that way except on Budweiser Commercials or when we were teens. HB is 8 miles of beach, people spread out and did. We social distances and Authoritarian Leftists still closed our beaches using a hyper telephoto lens and a Newport Beach shot that made the Lifeguard Towers appear to be 20 yards apart. They are 1/8 of a mile apart. Your statement was not just simplistic, but uninformed.

You can't answer my question either, so you laid out all this meaningless drivel.

All that matters is the hospitalization rates and death rates. We have enough beds, equipment, and now have better techniques.

So, can you answer why? Why did the 5 Democratic Governors force the contagious into Nursing Homes causing half the deaths in their states which became "hot spots", because of their actions?

Don't come back with that weak meaningless crap. Answer the question. Leftists keep running from that question. I wonder why?

it’s awful to think that it came to this in so many places around the US. I thought nothing displayed more obviously, the spoiled nature of our society. So many Americans aren’t willing to endure a minor inconvenience for just a few weeks for the sake of other fellow Americans.

I hate to hear about people being harassed for ignoring these very personally-invasive laws, and it’s just as disheartening to think that Americans wouldn’t just be willing to endure this briefly in the interest of safeguarding the nation’s health.

I mean, masks help make it possible to open business, get the economy going. I can understand the frustration but not the backlash.

Thanks for this rambling off topic rant. What the hell does surfing have to do with anything? People use beaches in a variety of ways including beer parties, holiday celebrations. birthdays and weekend gatherings.. Many of the participants are physically much closer to each other than 6 feet apart and that's where the trouble begins. The right wing is demanding that elected state officials don't have the right to keep people safe and healthy. Now that's idiot authoritarianism.. They protest for the right to put their fellow humans in the hospital which can lead in some cases to their demise.

Because you don't know crap about Surf City / HB where I live. We have miles and miles and miles of beach and we distanced, but the Authoritarian Left STILL shut our beaches down. You are just spewing mindless false propaganda and don't even know it.

Terming the huge onset of hospitalizations and deaths in mostly Republican states as simply meaningless is pure obscenity on your part. You've proven that you don't really give a damn about 10s of thousands in hospitals many facing death unless you can use it as purely a political attack against Democrats. And it shows. This is why Trump keeps falling in the polls nobody trusts him in our country.

Lol and you claim to know on an everyday basis what's going on in every single mile of that beach and all other beaches:roflol: and you know for a fact that within all groups of people on the beach every single soul stayed 6 feet apart. Your other worldly claims of omniscience makes you either a god or a nutcake. Guess what? I'm 100% sure you're not a god. From what I've read online the reasons for shutting down HB were due to large gatherings which is exactly what I said. So it appears that you have no idea as to why the beach was closed down. More political false propaganda which is exactly why Trump is dropping precipitously in all polls. Keep it up Trump

The question appears to be mocking the mask law. Im not sure how you could take it seriously.

Personally, I am going to disobey the mask order this weekend. Of course, I will have to wear a mask so I don't reveal my identity while breaking the law. :p

Characterizing someone's argument as emotional is nothing more that a dodge, a deflection from someone who knows their counter-argument is weak.
