    It was never a nation.
    Just a region defined by Rome and later under Ottoman dominion.
    Sort of the Ukraine of the Middle East.

    Palestine = Jordan.
    Not Egyptians nor Syrians.

    But,
    The Point Was

    Israel did not prevent the Arab Nation of Palestine from becoming a country
    per the partition. That was the only point.

    Gracias

    The real point was that the Brits gave away stolen land. A
    unresolved conflict was passed on to the Zionists. They were cheated to some extent. That was a damn bad business, indeed. Endless violence until today.

    Well the longest era of recorded peace in the area
    was under Ottoman dominion.
    The diff between Turks and Arabs.

    Oh, and I don't buy into your "real point".
    Have a nice day and the last word too, as you chose.
    psst, there was this 2/3rds vote of the U.N. General Assembly. ;)

    The Brits indeed!
