Russian agent Maria Butina claimed she had a "signed cooperation agreement" with the NRA
She told an Israeli audience in 2013 that she had a deal with the American gun group.

    motherjones.com

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or is that a smoking smock? well, what we know for sure is, a willingness to sign a RUSSIAN accented hottie on the record, to create a back channel to further a quid pro quo movement, to remove sanctions, and funnel oligarch money to throw the election.

This is the NRA. This is the Republican party. This is the Trump campaign structure.

I think Putin was right, he has the finest women of low social responsibility. And they can honeypot all our old men fer all getout.

This, in addition to their SELF INDUCED troubles getting insurance for members, points to the death of this relic.

Should the tendrils point right to Trump, this is the Smocking Gun that killed the NRA. And unseated the President. Hobbled the Republican party likely forever.

Check out how those on the right were negating an investigation into the NRA on a thread I started yesterday.

Its no secret that Putin has been seeking advise from NRA and similar groups on the issue of gun law reforms in Russia. Russians like guns too, it would seem.

What exactly is the point of the OP?

That Trump was asking ALL the Russians for help overthrowing the election? Asking the NRA to be the conduit to campaign finance illegality?

Poor Maria. She might not live a long, happy life in Russia.

Total BS. It was merely a ploy to get the NRA involved and via the NRA get GOP members to Russia for an event where the Russkies could get incriminating stuff on them for future use....and it worked.

Why has the NRA been cozying up to Russia?

That's what the NRA thought. Maybe.

Looks to me like you're going out of your way to be naive about all of this.

Of course it would look that way if you're so certain that Russia got Trump elected... I require proof.

"Experts who spoke to ThinkProgress say they are not sure, but they discussed whether the whole arrangement is a cover for a larger effort to undermine American sanctions against Russia."

Ah. A conspiracy theory. Fair enough I guess.

It's the same regardless of Russia's actual impact on the election. This is about their efforts and intentions to influence our politics, and not just where the 2016 election was concerned, and not about whether Russian influence actually got Trump elected.

Unfortunately,, every jot and tittle of my previous THEORIES, panned out. All of them. This one too. Of course, I am only assembling the evidence as it comes in. I am not making anything up.

You're basing your theory off the notion that you're always right.

    I see...

Nope. What I am basing it upon, is that there is a short interval, before they put the pieces of evidence together. Thus, you can SEEM a genius, if you pay attention. The picture is there, before they spoonfeed it to you.

    RRIGGGHHTT. SUURREE they did.

And if you believe that I have this big building in St Petersburg, cheapski.

You are aware that Russia has had sniping academies in their high schools since the 1920's right? Very contrary to NRA propaganda Stalinist Russia was a youthful rifleperson's paradise, The youth had to be trained for the inevitable Capitalist invasion and that did work out quite well in the Great Patriotic War as things developed so they kept them. Russia needs NO NRA, believe it.

The NRA and the Republican Party colluded with the Russians to steal the election. Trump was in it up to his eyeballs, How much more proof does the Senate need.? and do they really think that people will tolerate TRAITORS running the government at the behest of a hostile foreign power?

Not you too. They got to you. That is the new Trump talk to the hand, not tryin' ta hear dat, did somebody say something, you still here?

The NRA CONSPIRED to funnel OLIGARCH and mobster funds, to purchase the preferred candidate, for RUSSIA.

They did this knowingly, and Trump received it KNOWINGLY.

This much is PROVED, which is why GULIANI is now saying, no one died and no one was robbed.

Collusion is a crime, and Guliani is again saying, there is no crime COLLUSION. Although Mueller is CHARGED with PROVING COLLUSION.

The President and his lackey Guliani, are using semantics, and the ignorance of the population, to misrepresent anything they choose, to disillusion.

The truth is, Democracy was stuck with a shiv.

LEt us all not forget, if this young gal could do this, without ANY training, to speak of, there are BOUND to be other, more traditional attempts to influence, by operators that ARE trained.

This goes a LOT deeper than a little hottie. This goes to being unduly influenced by a foreign power.

What exactly is "overthrowing" an election? The term, as used above, makes no sense.

What exactly was overthrown? Were votes illegally cast? Were votes illegally surpressed or not counted? Were election poll stations hacked?

What exactly took place during this election-overthrow?

As for collusion...it is not necessarily illegal. Purchasing information on political opponents, even from foreign governments, is not illegal.

Please explain what specific actions took place that are illegal in the eyes of the law.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Putin will NEVER allow any private citizens in Russia to own weapons. If they did, there would be this big mess in Russia exactly like we have here in the U.S. You talk casually about 'gun law reforms in Russia' which is a joke. THERE ARE NO GUN LAWS IN RUSSIA!!

Russia simply used the NRA as a 'strawman' to funnel Russian money into Trump's campaign. The NRA gladly did the deed because the NRA has been financially hurting since the Parkland shooting in Florida. Many corporations severed ties with the NRA and First National Bank of Omaha, the largest privately held bank in the U.S., wouldn't renew a contract to issue a branded credit card for the NRA. This hurt the NRA bank account deeply. Not only that but people began looking at the Congressmen who had a AAA rating with the NRA, then looked at the amounts of money the NRA contributed to those Congressional campaigns in exchange for the favor that the Congressman would support the NRA agenda in Congress and not impose any new gun law legislation.

The Trump administration is one of the biggest racketeering crime elements ever to appear on our political scene.

I am purposely using an EMOTIVE term, to convey the deep insult to democracy they are. I am pointing out it was not JUST an attempt to raise hijinks.
Its aim, was to SHOVE Trump over the threshold, to CHANGE the result, if possible.

More Trump Derangement Syndrome ignoring the facts and corrupting the truth.

"Maria Butina has been singled out by the deep state for persecution and prosecution because she did not register herself as a foreign agent for her lobbying efforts and therefore broke the law - the same law that prosecuted Mannafort while ignoring the Clinton aligned Podesta Group family lobbying firm - but that's a Democrat operation and therefore safe from the deep state denizens in the FBI and DOJ.

Please answer this simple question: What laws did "This is the NRA. This is the Republican party. This is the Trump campaign structure." break? In what way did they compromise or break the law because she approached them?
