At The National Rifle Association Convention guns will be banned because Vice President Pence is attending. I have several suggestions that the NRA might want to consider instead of going along with this ban: 1. Treat him with the same respect and concern you would expect for your children/grandchildren; Arm the camera, lighting and sound technicians 2. Since guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Don’t ban guns, ban people.
Why is Pence not going to defend himself? Why can't he show up at the convention packing heat? That should scare off any perpetrator, or so goes gun enthusiast dogma.
First, the Secret Service is imposing the gun ban at Pence's event. Second, the Secret Service will be packing all kinds of "heat" at the event. This is nothing more than the usual fake news twisting of the facts - when will you people figure out the fake news can't be trusted.
The NRA wants the same protect for school chilren that a judge or low rent county official gets across America Liberals like you want the kids to be shooting ducks with no protection whatsoever
No, I want professional protection for school children, not volunteers, not arming staff. If people feel strongly about not changing gun laws at least they should be willing to anti up to protect our children. You equate children with "low rent (adult) county officials and less important than a vice president, sad. I propose a fee placed on the sale or transfer of any semiautomatic weapon, any bumpstock, any expanded size magazine to help fund security for our school children.
It's not the NRA's choice. It's the Secret Service's choice. Also, the guns are only banned before and during the VPs speech. The convention goes from May 3-6. Gun will be allowed on May 5 and 6, and on May 3 and 4, in areas unrelated to the speech on May 4.
I can forgive an institution for instituting a gun ban, but I can never forgive them for choosing to react to the possibility of Pence dying with anything but inaction.
