    There you have it. Straight from the NY Times mouth. These "journalists" put a story on the front page, without seeing the memo, because an anonymous source recounted details.

    This is not journalism, this is pushing the agenda you want with solid back up.

    From the first moment it was reported that it was read to them by a source close to Comey. Keep up son!!!

    Deep Throat is how Nixon was taken down. This is exactly how journalism works. And it wasn't an anonymous source to them.

    Beyond that, Comey can confirm or deny the story. This isn't like a rw conspiracy that is open ended - like Obama was born in Kenya, or the Chinese are hoaxing climate change.

    This is quite the limb to go out on considering we will know if this is true or not....it's not like an anonymous source saying trump is a dick to Reince. This is provable either way and likely soon.

    Why the past tense?

    Doesn't it still exist?

    If so, then disclose it.

    We aren't just going to take someone's words that it exist.

    It has to be examined so that we can determine if it is real and created at the time of the meeting and not fabricated after the fact to push a personal agenda and narrative.

    Comey is like a man without a country, he's dug himself a deep hole by not doing his job back in July. I get it that he despises Clinton and not much better for Trump, but he let politics set his course by not just handing over his findings to the DOJ publicly instead of "interpreting" what a reasonable prosecutor would do. Just hand over the evidence, that's what cops do. He screwed himself and has no one else to blame. And to date, he's never said Trump pressured him to do **** or obstructed justice. That's a MSM fabrication.

    It is clear many have no idea how real news works.
    "anonymous sources" have to have their name withheld because they will lose their job, but the reporter knows who they are and determines who can be trusted - a reporter stakes their reputation on these sources, so they check them out - if it turns out to be a false story, the reporter stands to take a big reputational hit - unless, of course, we're talking Faux "news" or the National Enquirer, where accuracy and truth are not expected.
