Yesterday evening I watched a BBC documentary about the NYPD, and 'shocked' isn't too strong a word when I saw Eric Garner being provoked by two members of the NYPD. When he was provoked to the point of losing his cool, he was suddenly set upon by no less than 7 NYPD thugs, and I watched them murder him. So much for the corporate message 'To protect and to serve.'?? WTF is going on over there when public servants go around killing . . . wait for it - those citizens who pay their salaries??

What, no takers on this? Don't you know it's going on? That the servants are now the masters, and brutal ones at that? And you're paying them to be brutal?

You slander an entire Police Department without any evidence of misconduct, for starters,
I served Spec Div of NYSPD / JTF / affiliate NYPD supervised by Department of Justice

So I may know something about how NYPD operates.

Choke holds have been banned since long ago, and deaths are thoroughly investigated by NYPD Internal Affairs.
Any Police Officer involved death entails a suspension from active duty pending a full investigation.

Watch this (it's the second one in) then come back and tell me that 'deaths are thoroughly investigated by NYPD Internal Affairs'. But at least I now know you have an agenda in fending off criticism of your old firm? My criticism, incidentally - and I'd have thought it goes without saying?? - is aimed squarely at the bad apples, and please don't now tell me 'I may know something about how NYPD operates and there are no bad applies in Spec Div of NYSPD / JTF / affiliate NYPD supervised by Department of Justice', (whatever all that might or might not constitute of the NYPD per se!). I'll bet on one thing though - I'll bet you don't actually watch that exposé, and you won't because you won't have the stomach to sit and watch your friends murdering Eric Garner. And how many more 'Eric Garners' are there we don't know about????

I really don't know why you're getting so upset about something happening in another country. You have greater issues to worry about, such as your own country getting totally taken over by militant immigrants. You've got more than enough misery to worry about staring you in the face. Don't worry about us yanks, we always take care of our own problems, and sometimes yours.
