Well it seems Fox and Friends falsely put out a false statement about the NYT. i am not surprised by this, jon stewart and stephen colbert made millions identifying Fox News misleading stories. Now i will enjoy reading how all those RWers that accise others of false statements, respond to this. i have little faith they will admit to their false narraritives https://www.google.com/amp/thehill....-for-apology-for-al-baghdadi-escape-story?amp
Lets see a General or a "PR spokesmen" who waited two days and then demanded action in 130 minutes or less.. Who to believe!
From the OP's article: Fox News responded to the letter on Sunday, noting that the article has been updated while also slamming the newspaper for "hyperventilating to the media about a correction." "The FoxNews.com story was already updated online and Fox & Friends will also provide an updated story to viewers tomorrow morning based on theFoxNews.com report. For all of their hyperventilating to the media about a correction, the New York Times didn't reach out to anyone at Fox News until Sunday afternoon for a story that ran Friday night," the news network said in a statement.
And on a Sunday. From the OP's article: "The letter that is circulating on Twitter was sent to the executive producer of Fox & Friends Weekend at 12:50pm today. I asked for a response by 3pm. They did not and still have not responded. The entire premise of their segment is false," Ha said in an email to The Hill.
No. Actually they made millions appealing to all the “cool liberals” out there who are so certain conservatives and Christians are bigots --- and if we’d only be “peace and love everybody man,” all our troubles would go away. Stewart, Colbert, et al. are an embarrassment, imo, and surely not clever. But then, they are appealing to the same people who think the world of Obama, Hillary and company, and themselves as well. :0 "The End" must be near.
Fox has a very high rate of giving erroneous information. They make CNN look like saints. http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/tv/cnn/ http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/tv/fox/ All cable news sucks though. Too much bias.
Yes. Any time NYT or any other news organization makes a false statement they should apologize and retract. FOX made a false statement as the OP showed. They should apologize and remove such content.
ROFL! Now the New York Times doesn't like Fake News? Why the sudden change? Fox should issue a retraction if this is not true. I am not following the story, so I have nothing here. Fox has a history of issuing retractions when wrong and not burying it like the New York Times. You won't see NY Times that up front.
After spewing misleading crap (day after day) for decades, the NYT is offended about some alleged inaccuracy? I'll feel sorry for the Times when they stop shading the news.
Feel free to contribute to the thread. NYT basically is 1 million times more credible and sourced than FOX News. Your point?
The NY Times was called out specifically by James Comey for false reporting on Trump and Russian collusion. Testimony that he made under oath. So if the "NYT basically is 1 million times more credible and sourced than FOX News", you should easily be able to point out dozens of examples where FOX was caught with their reporting pants down. It will take more effort than saying ridiculous things you can never back up, but give it a try. You'll feel a sense of fulfillment that you may never have experienced.
The NYT is further to the left than Fox is to the right. The hard news (not opinions) with Shepherd Smith is actually just a little left of center.
You touched on a very important point -- there isn't one FOX. There are several news programs throughout the day/night that provide different perspectives and underlying ideology. Shepherd Smith is not one of my favorites, but he's a contrast to Neil Cavuto, who in my mind is one of the best in the business. The bottom line is that FOX provides choice. Yet the liberals/leftists like to rag on FOX like it's a single generic blob. It's mostly the consequence of extreme ignorance run wild, but what can you do?? This is the Internet.
