The New York Times reported on May 13, that the Pentagon’s plan to send 120,000 U.S. troops to the Middle East partly depends on whether Iran decides to "accelerate work on nuclear weapons." But as Mehdi Hasan observes, "How can the Iranians 'accelerate work' on weapons that do not exist?" https://theintercept.com/2019/05/17/us-media-journalists-iran-coverage/ The misinformation is presupposed and not asserted. That is a sophisticated technique of propaganda.
The New York Slimes unconditionally guaranteed that there were active WMD in Saddam's forces and that they were about to be launched. This because those warmongering jack culos were hellbent on promoting war that profited them.
I will readily excuse do so and welcome the opportunity to repeat this historical truth: https://www.mediamatters.org/blog/2014/07/01/how-the-iraq-war-still-haunts-new-york-times/199946
naive, at best, to believe a news personality influenced & forced action of our military... people have always thought (incorrectly) that the prez is the sole starter of war... not so, it's the joint chiefs of staff. along with the commandant of the marine corp that give the order, the prez just delivers the message to the public...
