Rand Paul lays out the case that Obama violated the Constitutional rights of American citizens. https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1263933904429481988 Rand Paul lays out a criminal case and thinks action should be taken, even at the highest levels. Agree or disagree. Should the government be allowed to spy on citizens? Should a President be allowed to use the top agencies in the government to go after political campaigns or the incoming transition team. Obama did it, but is it criminal and will we actually do anything to stop this?
Unfortunately the patriot act — parts of which were just reauthorized by McConnell regarding internet history — has made all of this and much more perfectly legal until the SCOTUS rules otherwise.
I don't think the Patriot Act had anything to do with what Obama did, but Executive Order 12333 expanded the powers of the NSA to spy on innocent citizens.
Rand Paul is working toward running for President in 2024, he's all in with Trump figuring he can get his approval and pick up some of his base four years from now Your entire post is invalidated because Obama did not violate the Constitutional rights of any citizen nor did use the top agencies to go after political campaigns or incoming transition teams, innuendos doesn't make one guilty regardless of who echoes them
