You're trying to draw THAT analogy? Umm, just stop; that's facially so ridiculous, that you should beg a mod to delete this thread to avoid the embarrassment. A guy who is now a private citizen expressing an opinion openly is not in the same universe as a foreign hostile country attacking a country's election using subversive means. Jesus, dude.
Since you are setting the standard, you must agree that then president Obama interfered in the Israeli election correct?
Name one former President who has publicly endorsed a foreigner running for head of state for another foreign government ? Name a head of state who has publicly endorsed another foreigner running for head of state ? There are none, they just meddle in the elections to show their support.
How is that remotely like trying to compare one guy expressing an opinion to a secret Russian campaign to attack our election? If they sold context and a sense of perspective online, I'd send you a link.
I know somewhere in the universe that there is a giant Shark Tank opportunity for someone to help the alt-lefties cure themselves of deafness and blindness. I was hoping giving them free passports out of the US was the answer but they tire of regulations, taxes, and the oppressive governments to all the countries that promise freeshit to everybody and they always come back dragging their idealistic beliefs with them. Perhaps keeping them in their safe spaces with another Trump presidency and not allowing them to migrate to other less taxed more rational states is the answer. To update you from years past, Once upon a time, The Washington Times - Tuesday, July 12, 2016 "The State Department paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers grants to an Israeli group that used the money to build a campaign to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last year’s Israeli parliamentary elections, a congressional investigation concluded Tuesday." https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jul/12/obama-admin-sent-taxpayer-money-oust-netanyahu/ https://nypost.com/2018/05/23/the-hypocrisy-of-american-election-investigations-into-israel/
Was that the U.S. State Department or the Russian State Department ? What ever state department it was, it was definitely meddling in another country's elections.
It would be nice to have links to the stories instead of a general link to the very goofy Washington times. "When that didn’t work, the president went all in. A bipartisan report from the Senate, issued in July 2016, found that taxpayer dollars were involved. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations concluded that $350,000 had gone to a group called OneVoice. It obeyed the rules of the grant, intended to support peace. Once the grant ended, though, the infrastructure and resources “created, in part, from US grant funds” were, said the Senate, used “to support a political campaign to defeat the incumbent Israeli government.” As far as the Post story, you plainly didn't read it. It states that the US grant went to a political group, which used the proceeds legally and followed the rules of the grant. It was only AFTER the grant money was used that the group which received the money, on its own and with zero American money, started a campaign to unseat Netanyahu. How in the Hell is that anything like Bonespurs withholding needed money to combat Russian aggression unless Ukraine publicly investigated his domestic rival? (Hint: it's not, at all). The Obama administration issued money to an organization to pursue peace, and it used the money legally. It was only after the grant was used up that the people in that organization used the entity to unseat Netanyahu. Come up with something a lot better than this crap.

Trump making a big deal about supporting Nitwityahoo. Did the eeeevil Obama withhold congressionally-approved funding in return for having that government investigate a domestic political rival? Did he have his private attorney stumble around trying to get that done for him? Did he have the US' EU ambassador doing the same thing? Was he convinced to have our ambassador removed by a couple of medallion wearing dipshits? Not at all. Come up with something analogous.
Pretty sure Obama didn't , instead he was too busy arming Al Qaeda in Libya and arming Al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria. But Obama used taxpayers funding that wasn't approved by Congress to meddle in Israeli elections. But it's seems that Obama falls under being one of the protected class.
