    great idea.

    "
As first disclosed in this space several weeks ago, U.S. officials are planning to provide Moscow with the SM-3 data, despite reservations from security officials who say that doing so could compromise the effectiveness of the system by allowing Russian weapons technicians to counter the missile. The weapons are considered some of the most effective high-speed interceptors in the U.S. missile defense arsenal.

There are also concerns that Russia could share the secret data with China and rogue states such as Iran and North Korea to help their missile programs defeat U.S. missile defenses. . . . Read More

We absolutely have a radical Left-wing appeaser in the White House. We don’t want the Russians to feel comfortable about our missile defenses! We want potential adversaries to be afraid!!!!! That’s called a deterrent. This President does not adhere to the most basic principles of national defense. The One knows better."

Americans elected Barack Obama. America deserves what it gets. It's going to get another Pearl Harbor. So be it. I have zero sympathy for America.

So he's giving Russia our missile defense secrets that they can share with the chicoms, the iranians, anyone.

One more step in putting us at the mercy of our enemies.

Nothing can stop Obama from transforming the country into something less than it has been. Obama's supporters don't see us as human beings. They think we are livestock to be milked and ultimately eaten. Scorched earth for the left.

I'm sure his supporters can tell us the upside to divulging our security secrets.

For American leftists the upside of divulging American security secrets is the weakening of America. That being the case they are the internal enemy. The internal enemy is the greatest threat.

It helps if you look at a site that is not so slanted toward anti-Obama fear and find one with the facts.

    http://www.nti.org/gsn/article/new-law-restricts-us-interceptor-disclosures-russia/

Given that a great many of our weapons and weapon parts have not been made in this nation during the 10 years of Bush started wars, I think that Obama has the sense not to jeopardize US soldiers with giving away something which will help Russia kill our soldiers.

Understanding what the missiles are for, in their deterrent, is not giving away the designs for building parts of our bombs to the foreign nations who do so now.

It might also help to know that the SM-3 is a ship based missile system.

This is not a major part of our ABM defense network, it is mostly involved in protecting fleets at sea. Not bases or towns on land.

So I do not see this as being such a huge issue as some people are making this out to be.

Personally, I would much rather see the US progressing on development and fielding of MEADS. PATRIOT is our major air defense system, and it is almost hopelessly antiquated. It is past time to start phasing them out and go to a much more modern system.
