All Natural Born citizens are citizens. All citizens who are born in the U.S. are Natural Born citizens.

Now, as per the State of Hawaii, both Certifications of live birth and Certificates of Live Birth are both valid birth certificates from the State of Hawaii, but Hawaii, as a standard practice only issues Certifications of Live Birth. Which is why Obama had to make a special request to get a Certificate of live Birth.

The kind of shell game you and the rest of the Birthers have been playing from the beginning is to deny the legitimacy of any Obama birth certificate unless it has the words "Kenya" on it.

No candidate will ever show their original birth certificates. We have been over this before, and you have been very shifty in avoiding describing how a Presidential candidate would show all of 'us' his original birth certificate. It is a physical and logistical impossibility and of course legally impossible.

That is of course why we have certified birth certificates- the kind you and I have, and the only kind you and I have ever seen.

We have seen two official birth certificates from Barack Obama, verified by the State of Hawaii- which is two more than we have seen for any other Presidential candidate in history.

But now you demand that 'we' all need to see the original. This is less likely than 'we' all see a and touch an actual moon rock.

This very demand is part of your shell game. You know it is absurd but just keep repeating it, while avoiding any substantive answer of how that would actually be accomplished, while avoiding the very point of birth certificates.

A certificate recording Dwight Eisenhower's birth in Denison on Oct. 14, 1890, was filed Wednesday in the Grayson County Clerk's office.

Nobody had bothered to make out a certificate when the Republican candidate was born in a house at the corner of Lamar and Day streets in nearby Denison.

A copy of the certificate filed Wednesday was mailed to Mrs. Eisenhower in Denver. Eisenhower's elder brother, Arthur signed the certificate.

You are correct that Dwight D. Eisenhower did not have an official birth certificate until Oct. 1, 1952. When Eisenhower supporters in Texas learned he didn’t have a birth certificate on file in Texas, they decided to obtain a delayed birth certificate for him. Mr. Lonnie F. Roberts of Denison, Texas obtained birth information from Mamie Eisenhower and got Ike’s older brother, Arthur, a banker in Kansas City, to sign the necessary documents. We have a copy of this certificate in our files.

The real push to get this certificate made and approved appears to come from Mr. Roberts. Eisenhower’s campaign headquarters cooperated with him but they didn’t originate or push the effort. Mr. Roberts’ letters give the impression he thought Eisenhower needed a birth certificate to prove he was really an American-born citizen. He may also have wanted to make sure people knew that Eisenhower was born in Denison, Texas.

Two newspaper clippings we have from early October 1952 indicate that a New York law firm had written to the Denison City Secretary and asked if Dwight Eisenhower had a registered birth certificate. He replied that there was none on file. A local newspaper then ran a story declaring that Ike’s birth had never been recorded. Mr. Roberts than got involved and sent the letter of Sept. 3 to Mamie Eisenhower in Denver. She forwarded it to Ike’s campaign headquarters at the Commodore Hotel in NYC.

I have not seen any documents from the 1952 campaign suggesting Eisenhower was not an American-born citizen. However, the far-right did put out some nasty ads and newsletters attacking the general. Some claimed he was a Jew or a Communist sympathizer. These materials and their scrambled issues did not make it into the mainstream media.


Can you just imagine if Obama's birth certificate looked like Eisenhower's?

Generated just before the Presidential election, signed by his brother- who was 4 years old at the time- no original shown to anyone, voters never saw any copy of it....

And voters didn't have any problem with any of that.
