I hope she is smart enough to follow the leader She has that ability to attract television cameras. And she has a position to occupy in assembling the Democratic theme for the 2020 election. If she does that, she can be a rock star, build a career and move the progressive ball forward.

And she'll be a star on Fox Noise and the right wing trash blogs.

They always attack women, particularly smart, photogenic ones. Inevitably, as here, they try and portray them as clueless twits, or evil plotters (or both).

The play is ALWAYS exactly the same. Whether its Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi or Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

The only Democratic women in Congress that I can think of that didn't get this standard right wing treatment are Barbara Mikulski (not photogenic). and Sharice Davids.



Actually, I think they're afraid of Sharice Davids. She doesn't seem like the type to be impressed by Trump standing in front of the podium surrounded by guys with Bruce Willis hair (or are they Coneheads?).

 

Well, they haven't zoned in on Kirsten Gillibrand yet, but just wait, she may be running in 2020 as well. And then there is Amy Klobuchar, maybe not as photogenic, but a threat to the GOP in my view. She'll soon be next on the list of RW trash blog boogeymen (err women).

As to Ocasio Cortez, I don't mind if she plays lightning rod for conservative fears. That keeps the RW attention away from other Dem politicians.

Trump ran as a political outsider and has fully lived up to that. Cotez ran as a new breed that would stand up to the entrenched old guard in the DNC and immediately buckled when Pelosi snapped her fingers. Cortez is now Nancy's lap dog.

You guys keep missing Trump's main point which was to secure the border first and foremost. But you oppose that, you say you don't but you do, you guys want open borders.

 

Our borders are in need of being secured, illegals comprised of murderers, drug dealers, rapists and human traffickers come across daily, and you laugh.

 

I've heard opposing Pelosi if you're a democrat can be pretty dangerous and only an idiot or very brave person would do it and I don't think Cortez is brave.

 

She's a meme generator. She is just an inconsequential nobody from some district in New York that people have never heard of.

Is she says some profoundly stupid things, but I wouldn't blame that on her naivete.

I think it's a waste of time to even mention her. She represents an extreme Fringe minority. And she's young and dumb.
