    Because you don't get a free pass to make up strawman arguments and predictions just so you can tear them down.

    It's okay to present predictions that fail. But you need to make sure they are real predictions made by real scientists that have wide acceptance among the scientific community.

    You do realize if you continue with this argument I'm going to turn it around on you and it's going to be way more fun for me than it is for you. Afterall, unlike these dump predictions which don't even remotely come close to representing the scientific consensus I can find a bunch of dumb predictions that have failed that really do have wide acceptance among deniers. So do you want to play this game or not?

    Furthermore you MISSED HIS POINT entirely!

    He was not against UHC itself!

    He was railing about the need to IMPROVE the PERFORMANCE of Canada's UHC in COMPARISON to other nations.

    In essence you provided a meaningless ANECDOTE that does NOT even remotely relate to the FACTS that I provided.

    I am right on target.

    Conservative men save a special kind of venom for women they disagree with. It goes well beyond any ideological or political disagreement. The only 'identity politics' here is coming from people who think 90% of their Congressional representatives should be drawn from 30% of the population. Talk about Affirmative Action - that is what is wrong wit politics today. That they don't even see it and hide behind lies about 'meritocracy' makes it all the more scary.

    That sort of wilful blindness and ingrained prejudice scares me a lot more than one member of Congress with some ill considered policy ideas.
