I'm not sure celebrating the idiocy of the NY 14TH Congressional district is what we want to be doing with our time.

Tlaib is making it easy. I think she's a vulnerable Congresswoman and that's where I'm going to strike. She doesn't in any way whatsoever represent this district.

While I don't agree with her politically I think many are taking her comment a little out of context.

    Just my opinion

Guards on the ground also had machine guns. Also on the cleared area, the E Germans put a barrier consisting of three huge rolls of concertina barbed wire piled up like a triangle. The wall also had shards of broken glass cemented to the top to cut climbers hands up.

Even worse is Omar, how in the world did this racist and Jewish hater get elected? Are there so many Muslums in her district?
I am not against her because she is is Muslim, but because she does not represent our culture and and seeks to change our form of Government. Her family immigrated here. I wonder how much and what kind of assistance they received? Becauser there are many young adults with College debt who can't find jobs that pay enough for them to pay their bills, get married, buy homes, get affordable health insurance. Many forced to return home and parents forced to support them. (No tax deduction for these parents).

No, they belong here, anyone who is coming here looking for a better life belongs here.

Who doesn't belong here are entitled snowflakes that think an accident of birth makes the USA their safe space so they won't have to compete with untermenschen.

That's my main problem with immigration, we're deporting the wrong people

Spanish will become the official language right after electing a president who prefers to wear a military uniform and be called colonel. Let the EEUU revolution begin.

'An accident of birth makes the USA their safe space'. I know you're Far-Left, but I also know you're incredibly intelligent. So please don't tell me you missed the irony of this statement while you were typing it. Because it is PRECISELY that 'accident of birth'(14th Amendment) that has us in this debate as Americans right now.

Due to the improper Birthright Citizenship clause(which IMO is a false interpretation of the 14th and many pro-Nationalist colleagues want to be rid of it. Myself included.) you have 'citizens' of parents who by all accounts are NOT US Citizens, therefore they shouldn't be able to confer citizenship.

The 14th was meant to upgrade slaves to citizens, if it was meant as a "citizens everyone" clause, then we wouldn't have green cards(legal residency) which fits for all of the parents of those 'dreamers'. Citizenship was never conferred by one's status in the land, it was conferred by the legal status of at least one American adult on US Soil(Key words: American Adult.)

Though I want to fix the 14th, and though I'd love nothing more than to send every illegal back to their country of origin I acknowledge the logistical difficulties, so I largely agree with Rubio's solution(R-Florida). Let them get back in a line, let's legalize them on a per year basis(a 10-yr basis), about half of them. The other half, I'm sorry. But the numbers are just too large for an immediate assimilation.

In absolute majority of countries citizenship is based on land - where one is born is where the citizenship comes. This is the most fair way of doing it because one can make a safe assumption that where you are born is where you will live, vote, pay taxes and will need to be represented in government.
If we were to change that law we would end up having a whole bunch of stateless people, which would make things worse, not better.

Illegals eventually assimilate through their own kids or via marriage.
I think we need to stop the practice of birth tourism and make a law where you are allowed only one citizenship and if you have more than one your American citizenship is revoked.

Israel's going to just love that (all Jews are Israeli citizens, as are some descendants of Greeks, etc.)
Citizenship itself is ironic in the US. Our nationality is a community of belief, not a birthright. Paradoxically, the main part of that belief is the right to disagree with it, a main part of what makes living here such fun.

You're mostly right(and where you're not 'right' is really a matter of my own interpretation), the biggest agreement is on the paradox. While it does make it fun philosophically(as long as we remain civil, of course.) It's also in my reasoning the reason why the US is where it is right now: Every nation does have its roots, its history. And perhaps only the US shuns its own history. Nazism is but a part of Germany. But according to Left Extremists, slavery encompasses everything that is America and if not that, then racism itself. Which has now translated to Americans of European descent, and whether the Left realizes it or not, or believes that it's sarcasm or not but these thoughts are getting closer to what Hitler thought of the Jews and I'm not even Godwining here. It's exactly how that played out.

Or in essence, from the philosophy of exclusion, genocide typically doesn't fall behind(or prejudice/discrimination.) You'd think that the party of pro-freedom and civil rights would know that, but I don't know the party anymore. No one does.

The larger point however is that with the cosmopolitian view that the US itself is not a sacred or a special country(or that it's stained by a 'dark past') that can only be 'cleansed' through either the philosophy of exclusion, or through the policy of extensive social welfare(that will bleed the coffers out entirely), will in the end result destroy the American Nation-State.

And our foreign foes are aware of this. This is in part, why America has never had a war declared against it. Militarily, there is no power that can defeat America(though I fear the coordination of the Eastern Axis, along with European Weakness.). However domestically, America's capitulation is within sight.

So why declare war on the outside? It's better to instigate anti-American sentiment within America, and it's better to divide its people. And with any luck, it would affect Capitol Hill(it did).

What I'm most sad about is the effectiveness of enemy tactics, and that's why I've become even more of a Nationalist.

The very thing that makes America a truly great and uniquely GOOD nation is that we acknowledge and actually seek to make AMENDS for our dark past and we do that totally voluntarily. No other of the Great Powers that I know of has done that to the extent we have; other nations have recognized past (and present) transgressions, but they have been forced to or made excuses. The USA is alone in admitting that we are not perfect AND that we should be better. I think that makes us a stronger, not a weaker, nation. The strongest in the world in fact.

The capitulation I fear is like yours, not a capitulation to our enemies but to ourselves. I think we are most menaced by our own lesser natures; by our bigotry, xenophobia and an overweening pride in our admittedly extraordinary accomplishments. The USA is an exceptional nation and an exemplar to all the rest but being so is much more a product of what we do and continue to do rather than who we were or are.
