Today marks the one year anniversary of the mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 dead. Here is a story about one person finally coming home from the hospital.

This is why I support reasonable gun control. It is about people. These lives matter

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - One of the most severely injured survivors of the Las Vegas shooting, Rosemarie Melanson, is finally back home after nearly a year-long recovery.

nothing you have ever supported is REASONABLE based on it having a reasonable chance to decrease violent crime

We already have reasonable gun control. It didn't stop the shooting.

Wait... are you saying 'reasonable' is subjective? Or are you saying those who disagree with you are unreasonable?

    Nope. I agree wholeheartedly.

I just have to wander why you would use such a subjective term to describe your support.

    What term would you prefer?

'More gun control' would be accurate terminology, though entirely imprecise. In a perfect world, you would provide what additional laws you support and how exactly they would accomplish your goals. I know its asking a lot...

That is incorrect too. Some gun control I do not support. I am happy to stack up my plan against yours anytime. I have done so many times. But I don't set myself up to be a punching bag unless my opponent does the same

lets examine your arguments . You deny you want gun bans but you claim "reasonable gun control" could have stopped the vegas shooting

    1) the vegas shooter bought dozens of guns over a several year period

    >>>>thus a waiting period would not have mattered<<<<<

    2) the Vegas Shooter bought most, if not all his guns from licensed dealers and thus underwent multiple background checks

    >>>>>thus universal background checks would not have mattered<<<<<<<<<

    3) the vegas shooter used over a dozen firearms in his sniper's nest

    >>>>>>>>>thus "magazine limits wouldn't have mattered either>>>>>>

So tell us Vegas-what exactly would have stopped this and is short of the gun bans you pretend you oppose?

you can keep playing this stupid game all you want but you know that you cannot pretend the laws you claim you want (short of bans) would have stopped Paddock

Once again-what laws would have stopped Paddock.

Now now now. Don't get angry. Just man up and show us your plan in full detail like I have many times.

    Get used to hearing that

I'd make passing laws that disarm honest people a felony offense. I'd make it treason

Now now now. You know the rules. The devil is in the details. And also you must show us where this plan is working to currently reduce gun deaths. LOL

That shooting is what prompted my wife to to seek training and refuse to be a defenseless victim. She doesn’t leave home without being armed when legal.

While I respect your wife's right to bear arms it would not have helped her on that day

She has lost a friend in a church shooting. A good guy with a gun would have helped at Wedgwood Baptist Church. That concert isn’t the typical place we live every day.

You can't stop shootings like the vegas shooting. Its impossible.

France has banned guns completely, and they still had terrorists roaming the street mowing folks down with automatics.

And I call BS on concealed weapons not deterring the vegas shooter. A .357 with a 4" barrel has plenty of range to be accurate to the floor he was shooting from, and you cant possibly know how much effect some return fire would've had on the shooter. While a killshot is certsinly unlikely from that angle, the knowledge that someone was shooting back would ingender caution in even the most crazed opponents. Perhaps he would've killed less people. Perhaps he would've fled.

Its more than any laws accomplished.

Holy cow. That person would have been shot dead by police. No one knew what was happening and would have assumed he was one of the shooters

Then we should probably stop teaching cops to open fire before they've assessed the situation. Would cut down on a lot of innocent blacks with phones getting shot as well.

Well you see a cop has a pretty clear uniform on.....so theres that.

But I do agree cops do shoot way to quickly in this country
