If you are of Jesus, you are of God. And yes, here on earth you are very godly like.

    2 Timothy 3:5-7 KJB-
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So you are taking back your claim that god is everything?

No, that statement goes with that. It is because of God that you have a form of godliness, it is because of satan (evil) you deny the power thereof (God). The entirety of our reality, is God.

It can take many forms but in a general way, the natural selection is about the individual who succeed to have a viable offspring. However, it's even a little bit more complexe. From an evolutive point of view, we are mainly bag of genes, and some of our genes are handicaps, some are neutral (handicaps sometimes, advantages in other circumstances), some genes are advantages. A lot of genes are neutral and are only good in some circumstances. If some genes create an advantage, the part of the invidual caring those genes will grow up through the generations. If some genes are a handicap, the individuals having those genes may either have no offspring or less offspring.

The natural selection can take a lot of forms, their is the one most people think the first, the "survival of the fittest", but surviving is not enough, you have to get an offspring. Furthermore it's carrey a vision centered on the individual when we are talking about genes. Their is too the sexual selection (what individual are selected during the mating), and simply the fertility.

Our understanding of human evolution really changed those last years, mainly because we understood the important role of mixing. For instance, we realized that most european and asian got some neandertal genes, neandertal is not our ancestor but rather a cousin.

We understood too the important role virus could play, and in a general way symbiotic form of life. For instance, more and more we understand the important role the institines play and the bacteries inside.

Evolution is not simply about the survival of the fittest, it's way more complex.

The more we watch at nature, the more we see complexity, balance and beauty.

guys this is the only genuine poster posting these pages, and the statement by Paul to Timothy is a little weird at best.

the world is not required to believe in the Lord God of Israel in and through the name of Jesus Christ to remain the world it is, but one is required to believe in the Lord God of Israel in and through the name of Jesus Christ to be a part of His Kingdom.

all one can do, is inform honestly, and let it be at that. Christian don't reveal God, God does.

The ToE does not suggest we evolved from apes.

It suggests we and apes evolved from a species that is in common with the genetic history of apes and man. So, there isn't a path that goes from apes to man.

    Decoding this stuff is interesting.

One must wonder what term was translated to mean "science" and what Paul (or the translator?) considered to be "science" at that time. More to the point, what "science" was of concern?

Modern scholars say the letters to Timothy were written at a time when Gnosticism was on the rise. You can read about that. They point out that the letters to Timothy should be seen as strengthening that early church, especially in terms of resistance to Gnosticism - a growing religion of "knowledge", from which it got its name. (The "knowledge" of Gnosticism being mystical and fascinatingly absurd, not what we would recognize as science in any way.)

Regardless of whether that is the right answer, connecting that biblical concern about "science" to what we see as science today is ridiculous.

Science has the potential to be a religion as well. Meaning if experiments are not done by the individuals, and people only go off what they are told through trust. Then indeed lies can be told, and unknowingly believed as truth. If the hypothesis is loaded with profane and vain babblings, it's best left as not true. I'm not sure if I'm using the correct words for you to understand what I'm trying to say. I'm interested to hear your reply.

Well, that's hard to tell, because species is defined to mean a group that can interbreed to result in offspring that can successfully interbreed.

And, it's hard to come by evidence of interbreeding for ancient bones, as they don't have DNA we can look at and didn't write about this topic. We know we interbred with Neanderthals, because we see Neanderthal DNA in modern humans. So, at least at one time we were of the same species as Neanderthals.

Perhaps it is interesting that Nakalipithecus is thought to be close to the species where apes and man diverged - that is, our youngest common ancestor with apes.

Science doesn't work like that. Any science that is of interest gets tested over and over again by numerous groups, with methodology and results analyzed by experts in the field. Typically speaking, theories are not accepted until they have been proven to be useful in extending our knowledge of how things work.

We know Einstein, because he made significant changes in our understanding of physics, correcting the understanding of physicists of his day. His theory was not accepted until experiments were constructed by others, including those who were not convinced. Science has continued to test his theory. GPS is a test of Einstein. The recent detection of gravitational waves was a test of Einstein's results. Etc. The point is that science doesn't accept new theories lightly, nor does it take the word of one individual or one group of scientists.

This question demonstrates the deep lack of understanding of this poster of what the biological theory of evolution puts forth and what it does not put forth. Probably more precisely, this poster's question demonstrates that he gets his information about the biological theory of evolution from creationist whore websites.

Of course the answer to the question is, "No. I evolved from my parents, so did you and so does everyone else."

    My one what?

For what it's worth, my "no faith" did come about from cartoons. Specifically, the cartoon-like pictures they used in Sunday school of A&E and the cute giraffes with their heads sticking out of the top of the ark. Like these ...

It didn't take long for my 10 year old brain to figure out that there was no difference between them and ...

That is the exact intent of entertainment. To leave the people ignorant, to deter them from God, and the spiritual power every individual has. Your merely admitting they got you, and with systematic ease.

You really do have a problem comprehending plain English. Did you not realize that it was Fundamentalist Christians who were trying to sell me on the "facts" of Creation. They didn't get me. To the contrary, they made me understand the silliness of the Bible and everything associated with it.

Good luck with that! It is most unfortunate you not only do not cherish your soul, but you don't even think you have one. They really did a number on you. Why don't you keep adhering to your manipulative masters, see where it get's you. Go ahead, keep kissing their boots. You think after you die, is the same as before you were born, just completely non-existent? They literally got you to sell your soul and for nothing more.................but them!

Your interest in God, is rather intriguing. Perhaps if Christians say nothing, your interest in God will reveal Him to you. Please continue!

There is no universal objective proof that God exists, or that God does not exist. If there was objective proof either way, the issue would be resolved, but obviously there is no proof and no resolution.

Your OP has been repeated a number of times over the years, and usually with the same requirement you want to apply - prove God exists but don't use any existing evidence. In other words, you don't want an answer, and you will not accept an answer (i.e., your mind is closed).

You don't know what you are talking about. Since when the existence of black holes is proven to you (or anyone else here) for you to believe so?!!!

Humans don't rely on proof to get to a truth. They rely on trusting with faith in their source of news to get to a truth of any kind, including scientific truths. Beside scientific truths, human history as a whole basically has no proof. You can't even prove what you yourself just did yesterday. We can get to know what you did if someone wrote about it for us to swallow with faith. That's how a truth is conveyed among humans (efficiently).

You demand proof simply because you are brainwashed by modern education. "proof" is an ideal which is never practical.

That said. Unlike passive beings (such as a rare animal or a red unicorn if you like it so) which don't have the intention and ability to hide themselves from the reach/encounter of humans, God has all the ability to hide Himself from our reach if He has a good reason to do so. And this good reason in Christianity is that humans will have to rely on faith to be saved. If God is proved, no humans can be savable by a said Covenant granted.
