From the article I read they (in their own words) "were bored". Unfreakinbelievable! When I was a kid if we were bored we either got out of the house and played outside or mom found work for us to do IN the house! Once outside dad would hear from mom that we were bored and we got to muck out the barn or tend the garden! Fun? But it kept us out of trouble. Nowdays kids sit in front of the tv and play violent video games! The Me generation is now raising a MimiMe generation only they take it much further because the me generation's parents were actually brought up with rules and regulations while the kids/youth of today were brought up with none. And if you did you discipline for not following the rules CPS came in and took your kids away only to put them in foster homes with the same delinquents they were already getting in trouble with. I think you should have to pass some kind of test to have kids these days!

I don't know about being non whites but the report I read listed them as 17 years old. Old enough to know right from wrong and old enough to be tried for murder as an adult!

OKLAHOMA CITY &#8212; An Australian man attending an Oklahoma college on a baseball scholarship was shot and killed in what police described Monday as a random act of violence by three "bored" teenagers who decided to kill someone for the fun of it.

Christopher Lane, 22, of Melbourne, was found dead Friday while visiting the town of Duncan, where his girlfriend lives. Three boys, ages 15, 16, and 17, are in custody and face a court appearance Tuesday afternoon.

Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said Monday a woman called 911 after she saw Lane stagger across the road and fall to the ground in the south-central Oklahoma town of about 24,000 residents. Ford said Lane, who was staying with his girlfriend and her family in Duncan, had jogged past a home where the three boys were staying. He said the shooting appeared to be completely random.

Autopsy results are pending. Ford wouldn't say how many times Lane was shot.

Ford said the 17-year-old has given a detailed confession to police, but that investigators have not been able to locate the murder weapon.

"They saw Christopher go by, and one of them said: `There's our target,'" Ford said. "The boy who has talked to us said: `We were bored and didn't have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.'

"They followed him in the car to that area, shot him in the back and drove off," Ford said.

This entire case is just disgusting.

Making it about race is irrelevant. It could have easily happened with three white people, and in fact, I believe there was at least one other case where white people were accused of killing someone just for kicks.

This is yet another example of what happens when education isn't embraced by members of a society. Had they been better educated, they would have more likely spent time doing something productive for self-betterment instead of being bored and killing someone.

However, since they have committed a crime, they deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law. Had they been over eighteen, I'd fully support them being executed for their crime under the law.

I think they did it by severity of charge. The first kid was the trigger man, I don't know the 2nd kids role, but reportedly he got the same murder charge, and the final kid was the driver and got a slightly lesser murder charge. They all suck in my book and since they don't value other people's lives why should we value theirs?

Edwards and Luna were charged Tuesday with first-degree murder ... Michael Dewayne Jones was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact and with firing a weapon.

All were charged as adults, according to the Stephens County District Attorney&#8217;s Office.

 

I'm pretty sure if these thugs saw the man out for a run with a .45 strapped to his leg, they'd have picked a different target. Then again, they are morons and might have ended up on the 2013 Darwin list.
