On January 26, 1934, the Hitler-Pilsudski Pact was signed, the first foreign policy success of the Nazis. The pact allowed Hitler to operate in the West (Saar, Ruhr area) and carry out rearmament without fear for his eastern borders.
In the photo - German Ambassador Hans-Adolf von Moltke, Polish leader Jozef Pilsudski, German Propaganda Minister Josef Goebbels and Polish Foreign Minister Jozef Beck at a meeting in Warsaw on June 15, 1934, 5 months after the signing of the Non-Aggression Pact between Germany and Poland .
It is noteworthy that a portrait of Hitler hung in Beck's office until his flight from Warsaw.

The Poles sought an alliance with Germany against the USSR. Expecting to receive part of the Russian lands as part of his state. As they said "Poland from sea to the sea." Bearing in mind the borders of Poland from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea.
By the way, Poland is one of the countries that started World War II with the occupation of Czechoslovakia (just like the Germans and Hungarians did).
No wonder British Prime Minister Churchill said "Poland is the hyena of Europe."
    Such a historical date today.
