It hasn't been Jewish land, it's been land with a Jewish Minority Government. People can live where they want, I don't care about that, I care about ethnic repression and colonialism.

You cant just ignore the civil war that erupted in 1947 with "ppl can live where they want", they could have if both sides reached an agreement since they didn't and a civil ETHNIC war started- not for borders - a new reality emerged, what now? you got a time machine or a raise dead spell ready ? we go on from the point we are today not from where we might have been in 1947.
And for the "colonialism" part - as I said, if you regard Israel as a "colony" there really is no point for us to argue when I talk on equal rights and you deny the Israeli one to exist.

A discussion of who is entitled to the land is in principle and no matter whether Israel or whoever on this planet, completely superfluous and pointless!
Everything belonged to somebody sometime, then again not, then again, then someone else, then somebody else, etc. ...
Anyone who bases his territorial claims on history hundreds of years ago or even a thousand years ago is ridiculous!

The fact is that there was no Jewish state more than the Romans struck down the last uprising nearly 2,000 years ago, and until 1948 Jews were seen as a religious community in the many states where they lived and still often live, but they were not considered as separate people without a state ... like today the Kurds!

If the Israelis have the right to build an ethnostate on Palestinian land, the descendants of the Visigoths have the right to build a Visigoth ethnostate in Rome.

Just what is Palestinian land? Is it the land that they refused to have in 1947? Or, is it Judea and Samaria, occupied and then vacated by Jordan in 1967? What is Palestinian land?

    Show me the papers?

The land sometimes called "Israel", including the West Bank and Gaza Strip, is Palestine.

And how do Jews, Christians, and non-Muslims live under Muslim rule?

Palestine, as an official unique territory, only lasted for 40 years

Palestine existed during the time of the Romans. Mandatory Palestine was a legal arrangement, not some kind of cultural statement.

I do feel for you, but it is time to wake up and face the reality, my friend. Palestine is a geographical location and so is West Bank of river Jordan. There’s is an undivided Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria

the land has gone by many names.

Canaan, Israeli, Judah, Judea, Philistia, Phoenecia, Palestine, Galilee, Kingdom of Jerusalem, etc.

    its ignorant to claim otherwise

We've been at that place in 1947, out of respect to your European correctness Ill say "both sides" disagreed on land distribution and went to war, now, an Israeli born here can claim he is both native and having an historical connection to the land and both are true, A Palestinian can claim he is native with historical connection and also be true. if both sides are set for dominance than there is nothing to do about it, ridicule either side claims is pointless.
I disagree, you span 2000 years of how other nations regarded and treated Jews as if it was constant, throu that time other nations mostly DID regard Jews as a nation without a home, there were short periods of time where Jews were truly treated fairly, in our Jewish history those periods are known as "Golden years" no less, in modern time I think that came just after WW2.

If the Visigoths existed as a nation since their demise, had a living community in Rome and Italy would have crumbled as a state, yea they would have a very good case I say.

The Land always existed and was called by different names, a legal state called "Palestine" that you claim was destroyed - never existed, the land was meant to be part of Jordan according to the Arabs. ofc ppl of certain ethnics can live in any state.

And this is why I said that both sides have to face realities and have to start to live with them ... TOGETHER!

I would not say so, because as a separate people they were rarely or not at all viewed ... but conversely also rarely as a full-fledged part of the respective people in the country in which they lived ... rather than people and roommates 2 Class or less as the story shows. There were not only pogroms since the Nazis ...

Assume they dont want to, what now ?
IMO the only thing to do is to set rules of engagement to keep fighting as civil as possible and allow a certain normal living, that's the power games we see and hear about

Have you considered that both sides are in love with their ethos and actually enjoy this ?

So I shall sit down on my couch, grab some popcorn and a beer and watch as you hit each other's faces with all the joy, right?

No problem ... but if someone and especially a Jew accuse me as a German then only a single timefor the Nazi past of my country and the 6 million murdered Jews, then the one gets right a slam on his face and if he asks why I hit him, gets he directly a second hit because of shown stupidity of me!

And yes, I can say that as a German, because my ancestors sat in the concentration camp as prisoners and a few died there, others fought in the French Foreign Legion against Deuztschland and I myself am not even a rudimentary Nazi!

Excuse me but who blamed you for anything ? all I said was that I'm not arguing with you if Hizbi/Iran/Hamas are considered terrorists or not, they are to us and what they are to you is irrelevant to me, that's all. you can have the Ayatullah picture over your bed for all care.

5th week of the Great March of Return. This week it is being called 'Revolutionary/Rebellious Youth' in honour of those who have been killed and injured by Israeli snipers making clear that this is to be Peaceful March.

    https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east...a-march-of-return-protests-to-begin-1.6033006

Unfortunately 25 Palestinians have already been injured today as you can see from the above link.

In all the marches not one Israeli has been killed and not one Israeli has been injured while last I heard 40 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured, many with life changing injuries. There have been people saying that they are seeing bullets used by the Israelis which they had not used since 2014.

Obviously for the world to know what is really going on requires the Press to be able to be there and photographers. Unfortunately a few days ago another member of the Palestinian Press died of injuries from snipers when doing his job in the Great March of Return 2 weeks ago. He died of injuries which were directed at him despite the reality that PRESS was firmly written both on his jacket and on his hat.

Second Palestinian journalist dies of wounds from IDF sniper fire

Palestinians are again asking for help for their journalists, though this article was written before the second above had died
