This is a theme I've been banging on about for a few years. For me it's quite apparent that the overuse - or even abuse - by the US of sanctions against friend or foe alike, who just happen not to comply with US wishes, is not only self-destructive but absolutely stupid. There is no question that just for self survival countries will need to move away from the US. It beggars belief that in today's age Trump would act like a World Dictator ignoring International Treaties and laws and threatening any countries survival who does not bow to him. As I said in another thread this is just hastening the dollars demise and likely will lead to a realignment of countries. On a worse note I was reading the other day that if the Republicans have a good show in November we can expect several more Trumps to appear on what looks like a winning formula.
