I was simply pointing out the irony of complaining that “the left” uses labels whilst using a label to describe “the left”

The rest was rubbish not really worth debating

That sounds like a headshot by that brilliant marksman from Port Arthur who never misses, even with an IQ of 60 and no military training etc etc.........

And you wonder why some people are trying to avoid you, or reason with you? Oh Billy................
If there is something people below the 100 IQ mark have in common, it certainly would be finding another conspiracy theory.

Your comment demonstrate that you don't really know much about the Hydrogen market. Hyrdrogen is highly flammable and difficult to safely ship long distances. The CSIRO's membrane overcomes this problem. Imagine if you couldn't ship LNG or oil... development opens up Australian Amonia/Hydrogen to the Asian market

    Hey girls,
please don't fight. It is hard enough with others on this forum, your comments are most often well received and show a lot of intellect.
Be boys for once, have a beer, and party on......

Read the link and make up your own mind...when I said "never misses" it was figuratively speaking..
the comments in the link suggest the shooter was an excellent marksman..(heres another link...)
    https://conspiracy-cafe.com/apps/bl...ort-arthur-massacre-was-martin-bryant-framed-
I dont really care one way or the other...he killed people that Im sure of and he's where he belongs........all Im suggesting is perhaps, just perhaps, people should open their eyes and make up their own mind if there was another shooter....
It just seems a bit odd that a certain politician said "the gun laws wont be changed in Australia until theres a massacre in Tasmania"....everyone has read that report....

As a gun owner, I totally disagree, there is very little limitation on what weapons we can reasonably own, my emphasis is on the word reasonable .If you want anyone to be able to carry a concealed weapon or an automatic machine gun then do what you are going to do.

Yes the gun laws lean one way and yes there will probably be more pressure from the left.

It's a bit like spead limits, some of us can drive safely at a faster speed, but some can't.

I hate speed limits, especially on some open roads, I should start a political party and promise to abolish speed limits, who knows how that would go....

Yes, and as I say, the fact that there are only two members representing majority of the rural sector shows that the government are going to continue to ignoring it... Those who know so little about the sector, take the benefit and try to govern it in a reflection of ideal, not of reality...

And we think One Nation is the problem.

Poor poor Straya .. once a nation of tolerant and civilised Lefties, genuinely interested in a fair go for all regardless of stripe. Willing and able to accommodate a landscape of multiple political philosophies without losing their minds, and happy to engage in civilised political debate with 'the other'.

A time when the Arts and Music were outside of politics (as they should be), and any political comment made by art/music was even handed .. pointing to flaws on BOTH sides. When musicians and artists were anarchists, not religionists.

    I still remember

What do you mean by "if"? You realise that anything enshrined into law is permanent, dontcha?

If the Left enshrines compelled speech or controlled speech, that's only going to be comfy for you while the Left decides what can and can't be said or not said. When the other team takes over (as they eventually will, forever), you may be compelled to walk around uttering "I love the Orange God", or forced to call Pauline Hanson "Her Majesty". Or ... ERMERGERD ... tell everyone you meet that there are only two genders.

Sorry, seems you have been posting here too long if you are straw manning accusations into “left” ang “right”.

It has been Liberal governments that have done most to curtail “freedoms”. Never forget it was Howard that enacted the NFA

Howard was PM when that Gold Coast Doctor was held without charge for nearly a month. That was one of the greatest tests of our legal system yet and the legal fraternity bloody near beat the government to death over it. It was Bjelke-Petersen Peterson who declared a state of emergency in the 1970s so he could prevent anti apartheid demonstration during the Sprinbok tour https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joh_Bjelke-Petersen

So don’t you EVER go blaming “the left” because that is too simplistic

Each one of us MUST stand for our own rights each and every day. We cannot take it for granted they will be given just because they are written down somewhere

You realise I am a Lefty, dontcha?

Could be you've been posting too long and all, if you hadn't picked that up. Would imply you're a black and white thinker ;)

    When was that?

As far as I can tell the cave drawings were politically motivated

    No you aren’t.

Your views on women and abortion in particular do not fit with “the left”

Only if you think in black and white terms, like a fearful religionist. SOME of us have the integrity to broaden our political exposure and vocabulary, without fear of hellfire.

PS: Don't tell me what I am not. I'm a lifelong Labor voter, previous pinko party member, read Mao's red book by the time I was 15, and have lived in actual collectives. I'm the confronting irritant, the pragmatist Lefty who never abandoned the mission in favour of identity politics and elitism.
