Opinion: Half of Americans over 55 may retire poor

So, your words come from the Gettysburg Address? I understand your sentiment. Ok, so now how??? do we get it? (or not lose it?)

 

Everybody knows "of the people, by the people, for the people" comes from the Gettysburg Address.

As to how we get it, we VOTE for it! We let our wishes be known, petition our representatives to work toward that end, elect representative who commit to it, and reward them with our continuing votes. How else????

 

Unfortunately, it's not always so simple.
There are a wide variety of reasons for that. (However, we are not going to go there in this discussion)

 

So if the newly elected leader is asked how she/he will achieve that end, she/he should just keeping repeating "of the people, by the people, for the people"?
