Sure there is since only Republicans support capitalism. They are the world's last best hope for freedom. Democrats don't support capitalism, they support Sanders, Obamacare, single payer, etc etc

Celebrating a regime known for human rights abuses is not supportable.

I laughed, if that is the right word, at your effort to update Friedman's previous association with human rights abusing regime. Try not to support those that attack freedom? Bit obvious really

No society on Earth has a better track record of improving the food supply of humans than China's.
In ten short years they have have bought a number of people equivalent to the entire population of the continent of Africa, out of poverty.

    Credit where credit is due.

    THE PRICE

And I think this is the sort of question first-year econ-students LOVE to debate. Because it is somewhat irrelevant.

Personally, I think consumers are "Monkey-see, Monkey do". Most often they will want product/services when others have already ventured to purchase/rent it and approve. The mere action of seeing other "playing out satisfaction for the product/service" is what TV-advertising is all about.

We are literally being led-by-the-nose by the BoobTube. (The world-over!)

Barnum of Barnum & Bailey: "A sucker is born every minute ..." And the more educated one becomes the less of a sucker one is. But, that does not mean one becomes less "Demanding" of consumer goods/services. Just more selective at a higher affordable price.

The price is the foremost determinant in any Demand transaction.

    Methinks ...

More accurately, no society has demonstrated the incredible superiority of Republican capitalism than China.

much more of a fact than an argument!! Demand for goods and services is very very natural and comes with birth. Mankind lived for a million years with no or tiny supply and thus very very few people could survive on the planet. When Republican supply side capitalists came along 200 years ago demand was finally met and the world now supports 7 billion people all of whom owe their very existence to Republican supply side capitalists. If we want further growth we want further new inventions supplied by Republican supply side capitalists. 1+1=2

Libcommies hate capitalism because it proves we don't need them to create demand with welfare programs, their only real objective in any situation.

100% wrong. It is essence of economics. Conservatives or for new inventions or (new supply) and liberals are for new welfare programs( new demand).
