Yep. Remove the “God” from the dollar bill, and ALL Americans will happily accept it.

    Wait…

Indeed; but having a basic math, reading and writing skills is not required as part of getting a high skrul diploma!

Democrats’ logic is seriously ****ed up.

You dunno whatcha talking about, and ima not surprised.

…During the Cold War era, the U.S. government tried to distinguish itself from the Soviet Union, which promoted state-sponsored atheism. The 84th Congress of 1956 passed a joint resolution "declaring IN GOD WE TRUST the national motto of the United States." "In God We Trust" appeared on all American currency after 1956…

Republicans tend to love our country. Democrats tend to hate it.

"A Few Years Ago"? Sixty Seven years ago.

"Republicans"? It was passed by Joint Resolution, there is no record of anyone voting against it.

Fake News. God refers to The Supreme Being, the Self-Existent One, the One who owes His existence to no one and nothing else, and to Whom all that exists owes its existence. It's not some local deity you describe as "the money god".

The American flag should be the only flag allowed in the classroom. Whether the citizens of this country always get along or not, we should always keep in mind that we: all live here together, and we have to work together to solve the problems we have. For me, the American flag represents the unity we should all have, especially when we have disagreements on the smaller stuff.
She is trying to make a point, but is getting a little out of her league, imo.

It's nearly twice the life time of the median aged American. Might seem like yesterday to you. Who was the big music star then, Perry Como?

I see the most played song on Juke Boxes at the time was "Three Coins in the Fountain" by The Four Aces. Never heard of it. Was it a good tune?

"Nature's God" as referred to in the Declaration of Independence, the foundation document of the United States.

TBH the libertarian streak in me is fine with removing the flag. Their reasoning is a bit contrived though. I think people should be allowed to honor the flag or not based on their own free will, not because it is imposed upon them as a captive audience.

Well, Old Joe Biden has been in national politics for 20% of the nation's history, and this final edition predates that.

I think there is a larger point. Employers are required to accommodate various beliefs of their employees, just in the interests of peace and harmony, and in order to do so, they are expected to do so even at the expense of "some" cost.

I understand someone not wanting to look at the flag, but, removing it strikes me as a statement by that ONE person that NO ONE is to be allowed to view the flag in the classroom.

Harmony simply requires a little more tolerance and flexibility.

Related: FOLLOW THE SCIENCE: The Data Are In: Trigger Warnings Don’t Work. I think this teacher is "triggered" by the flag, and therefore, she believes she has the right to remove it for everyone.
    And

not sure what you mean, the change happened during our President's own lifetime

if it's their classroom, who cares, seems like it's probably in almost every classroom there if someone wants to see it

I am getting up there in age, but I remember kids saying "under Dog" during the pledge, as the modified pledge observing the Money God obviously did not sit with their family values

    Let's try this again.

Here is an instructor apologizing for belonging to the race which has done more for mankind than any other race in history. She also vowed to work on being an anti racist except that she hates white people.

There is something wrong with our education system, seriously wrong.

With age comes seasoning. I was only poking in fun. I'm glad you post here and share your perspective. Your post reminds me of the Agnostic, Dyslexic, Insomniac who lays awake at night wondering if there really is a dog!

Yea, it’s one of the moral questions, occupying Democratic minds.

Why have an American flag in a classroom?
Why not let Illegal Aliens into America?
Why not kneel to American Anthem?
Why not give Illegal Aliens drivers licenses?
Why not pervert the history, teaching American children America is an evil country?

    And so on.

???? Im an atheist and the thought that the pledge doesnt represent me has never even crossed my mind. You are probably the more typical atheist that wants to convert everyone to your religion.

you're one person, you don't mind religion being pushed on you or your children by the government, not everyone feels the same

I want religious freedom, everyone can choose for themselves, we don't need a nanny government choosing for us

I could care what religion someone picks or doesn't pick... I do care if the government is trying to push religion on children though

It does, just as the Declaration of Independence does. Now of course you don't have to say it, or stand for it, or if you do to even utter the words that you object to.

A joint resolution of Congress added the words, a joint resolution could remove them. Democrats control both Houses of Congress, put it to a vote.
