Pretty shabby poll results for Biden as the DNC is only a week away and he still hasn't picked his precious VP, which is supposed to prop up his campaign.

Recent polling by ABC show Biden currently has record low voter enthusiasm, in fact its dropped since several months ago as Trump's has risen to over double Bidens. Bidens apparent cognitive decline and repeated insults to blacks are probably not helping either.

As for the "impression" many people have that Biden will not make it through his first term and will instead hand off his presidency, to his VP-that seems like more of an act of desperation by democrats.

If this is true then why would any of them vote for him? Or, are they waiting t see which disaster he picks as a VP?

Unfortunately for Trump, the majority of American voters strongly disapprove of Donald Trump and will be motivated to vote on November 3rd for any functioning adult.

Short timer: Half of Democrats don’t think Biden will serve all four years.

59% of likely voters believe Biden’s vice president will take over in his first term if he's elected in November.

Thats the selling point-he's old and dying BUT his VP woman of color who would never get elected on her own will be able to take over and take the party further left. She will be so awesome that she will be selected by "cogent joe" based on her genitalia and skin color.

So thats why they will vote for the confused old racist career DC politician and already twice failed presidential candidate.

    See how this works?

One would think black people would be insulted by democrats outwardly saying they are going to pick a token VP.

Well check out what ABC has to say, at the end of march...

"Indeed, strong enthusiasm for Biden among his supporters – at just 24% – is the lowest on record for a Democratic presidential candidate in 20 years of ABC/Post polls. More than twice as many of Trump’s supporters are highly enthusiastic about supporting him, 53%.
    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bid...rails-badly-enthusiasm-poll/story?id=69812092"

And even more recently less than a month ago, from ABC, the latest polls show that Biden has actually dropped in his strong enthusiasm to 40%, vs Trumps 68%! I just found that yesterday as the MSM isn't exactly advertising it.

Who says Democrat voters think this a good idea? Absent DNC intervention to select Biden, I think Sanders would have taken the nomination.

This may be the deal. Power generally changes hands every eight years. If Sanders would have taken the nomination he would have filled all the DNC posts with his loyalists, positions now held by Obama/Clinton loyalists, and they would shape the 2024 selection process with Sanders effectively picking the 2024 nominee that, on this view, would very likely assume the presidency.

So, their solution was Biden, who they can control, keep the levers of power, and they probably thought stood a decent chance of winning, but, if he did lose, they retained the positions of power necessary to select the next nominee.

The problem they face now is that Biden is no longer who he was when they selected him to stop Bernie. The rapidly deteriorating Biden, could turn out to be such a disaster that Trump is re-elected with a powerful mandate and majorities in both Houses of Congress.

But, to these folks their own acquisition of power trumps all else, so they will take this loss rather than turn control of the party over to someone who will oust them. The VP nominee will also be someone they think they control.

In light of their selfish calculations, circumvention of the wishes of their own primary voters, a Trump Sized Humiliation strikes me as fitting and proper.

Sure hope the debates do not have to be from bed side in the intensive care room at Joes or Trumps Hospital, because that would be down right embarrassing and the rest of world ROFL at us

Math can be hard, so let me help.

    40 > 24

And a 29 point difference is < 28 point difference.

Also, you "found that yesterday" because I linked it to you.

And now he's picked Harris who did lousy in the primaries, people didn't like her. She doesn't bring a state or anything. I don't even think black voters particularly liked her.

Except I don't think Biden picked her. I think she was picked for him.

Well let's hope not since that does not bode well for the country, it's HIS choice to make, it's part of the requirement for the job.

Once more because apparently reading is difficult as well.

    53-24 = 29 points (March)

    68-40 = 28 points (July)

Now...for all the marbles - which number is larger between 29 and 28?

The notion that VPs are historically successful in bringing along certain States or Demographics is not solidly supported by the data.

Over on DU they were gushing about a photo (not even video) of Biden asking Kamala to be his VP.

But a sharp conservative zoomed in on the photos, revealing (and confirming) that Biden must read from a script.

3 VERY IMPORTANT THINGS about this photo of Joe Biden calling Kamala to offer her VP spot:
    1. Biden has to read from a script that is clearly visible
    2. Biden does not know how to hold an iPhone (it’s upside down)
    3. The cartoon on Biden’s desk is a man screaming “WHY ME?!”
