"In 2018, businesses owned by African Americans grew more than 400 percent"
Africa Remains Untapped Market for Booming Black Businesses in America | Council on Foreign Relations (cfr.org)

    Some bad news:
Nearly half of Black small businesses had been wiped out by the end of April, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and months-long government-imposed restrictions.
The Covid-19 Crisis Has Wiped Out Nearly Half Of Black Small Businesses (forbes.com)

Seems like Democrat policies have not ended up being very good for Black businesses...

Any Black people in here? Do you think the strict shutdown measures were actually worth it?
Should Trump get any credit for Black businesses growing?

Why should Trump get credit for the growth of Black businesses?

Short answer: He cut off illegal immigration and reduced competition. Looks at the results of that, if you don't believe.

Later on when black businesses began going under, that was due to policies enacted by state governors. (Probably in part to try to make the President's administration look bad and help tip the upcoming election) But right before that, Black businesses were experiencing an unusually high amount of growth. He did promise business friendly policies, although most of that was on a federal level and would not have applied so much to smaller businesses.

What explanation do you have for why Black businesses grew so much during that time?

Why do people even conceive of the concept of "Black Businesses". This sounds very racist to me.

But Trump did not force businesses to do anything.

"Democratic policies" is a pretty simplistic way to look at it. Another is that certain sectors were hit harder than others. As for why white businesses similarly situated may have fared better than black ones, my guess is because blacks are increasingly not married which means they are less likely to have a spouse's income to keep them afloat. ( " Among African-Americans, the poorest racial group in the US, both marriage and partnership have lost their appeal for many as nearly 60 percent Black adults aged between 25 and 54 were found without any partner in 2019 by the Pew research." https://www.trtworld.com/magazine/why-are-more-americans-choosing-to-turn-away-from-marriage-50943 )

Now you are getting off topic, and that is not even entirely true, but there is no chance to explain that here without derailing the discussion.

Biden supports harsh covid mandates , never once spoke up against the blatant attack on small business .

It’s quite clear that covid was used to damage middle and low class Americans . Come on man , democrats don’t want black Americans to become financially independent , they need them to be dependent on government .
