Good post Scotty. I couldn't believe it when the deputy chair of Oxfam capitulated to all the faux indignation. But then maybe she volunteered to be hung out to dry, and 'collected' for her selfless gesture. Bloody hell, what a cynic I am! There seems to have been a sudden outbreak of non-news just lately, but this one takes the effing biscuit. Maybe it's the silly season.

 

What's the ****ing problem here? The point of posting a link is for the readers to read it. This link is to a site the majority here can't read, I've made a totally reasonable request to just copy in the text so we can read it, the OP for some reason I cannot remotely fathom is refusing, and you're trying to justify it with "it doesn't matter because doesn't everyone knows anyway"??

First the Catholic church, then the BBC, then ministers in parliament, then football club, and now Oxfam...

I'm pretty sure that one day; Soho Original Books'd be the only respectable thing left standing in Britain.
I mean, ask yourself this:
Do they touch kids?
No.
Do they exploit victims for sex?
No.
Do they fiddle their taxes?
Not even.
Soho Original Books, where you can buy The Big Book of ***** and, The Big Book of ***** 2 and ***** Power, and ***** Power 2, with a blow up doll and a vibrator and maybe some poppers for good measure, nothing dodgy about that, just an honest business selling you porn, poppers and sex toys.

 

But did the sex toys consent; can Soho books demonstrate they they were aware that prior to employment they would be used as sex toys, given the correct contractual consent stating their rights under the law and not made to sign waivers of non-disclosure? Its all very well assuming that since they were designed as sex toys they would just go blythly into situations were sex toys would be employed, were they in fact in agreement to and made aware of the likely outcome of being a sex toy?
Were they made with child labour in non-fair trade registered hovels....are they green and recycleable....etc. etc.?
Soho Books may not be as safe as you thought.

I often forget what's normal for me, isn't "normal" for others.
But that's okay. If given the choice, I'm glad I don't care who sleeps with who.
Seems like most other people, like the majority of men, are so starved that they flock around anything with a titty, but for me, it's just another reason on why I'm a rock star, I don't care.

That being said, Soho Original Books is one institution that is still pure and decent and void of any scandals involving sexual mis conduct, unlike the catholic church, government, The BBC and football for kids.

I think the way all the media is covering this is a little deceptive, making a lot of hype out of something bad by making it look more bad than it is.
