How many younger folks with no issue have died of C19 exactly?

I think your definition of "a lot" is a bit off...……...

You said a lot, it's not a lot.

Your implication that we would be putting "a lot" of young people at risk is false. Fear mongering.

    Oh and there is this...

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/ot...trol-review-finds/ar-BB12eM53?ocid=spartandhp

It's from the UK so take it with a grain of salt, they predicted 2.2 million dead in the US.

I bet you can work this out yourself, but I'll help cause I'm a nice guy.

Kid in one room, granny in the other.

Sorry for your inconvenience and trouble, we just find it is easier to separate 2 people in a house than to shut down a nation.

The six year old is going to take the bus to the grocery store and bring it home.
Yep. Sounds like a plan. Not.

What are you talking about? Parents...

If the kid lives with just the grandparents...churches, social groups, family, friends can all hep temporarily etc....the schools themselves can set up a program. Your talking about a small minority of kids, the majority would not be effected.

It's not rocket science, and it does not require a national shutdown to deal with issues like your scenario.

If you think this shut down won't affect the economy, you're indulging in fantasy.

Every person added to the crowd increases the risk to those around them. It's not about YOU.

I've done this before, but I'll do it again, just for you.
You say we should protect the vulnerable. So let's look at that.
129 million working age people have preexisting conditions.
    49 million are over 65.
    75 million under 18.
Your plan leaves no workers and puts the remainder at risk.

Your and your silly BS numbers. Thank God people like you are not in charge, sit down and shiver in fear. The adults will take care of this. :)

What are you on about? It will do more than effect the economy, it will devastate it. Causing far more harm than it prevented.

And what is so hard to understand about personal choice and responsibility? If people want to go out in public and risk C19 than can, if they do not want to they do not have too. Nothing to do with me at all. I am a salaried worker, I don't lose a penny if I do not work. My company has already said I can stay at home if I feel unsafe due to C19. I work 7 days a week now because I want to be there to help my peers out. I will till this is over. My choice, pure and simple. Nobody is putting me at risk, but me.

I can not wait till liberalism take a mortal blow in Nov after Trump roll sin for 4 more years. Your ideology is childish beyond words, based on selfish entitlement and fear. It's utter crap.

The numbers that are correct and shoot down your BS theory? Yeah. Those numbers.

You know oddly I don't have fear of this even though if I get it I'm dead.
But it might make me have a different view about your plan.

Stay at home be safe if you are that at risk.

That is your responsibility, not anyone else’s.
The economy and millions of people do not need to be crushed to protect you. You can do that.

And as the number of survivors, reported and unreported, increase, so too will the herd immunity.

Then we should not have shut down the rest of the country. Glad we agree at last on something :)
