As if the switch was flipped overnight, many men across the nation have switched their dairy intake to an almost pure soy-based product, many have been voluntarily taking estrogen and other feminine hormone supplements and some have even began a voluntary gender transformation. This is huge and all thanks to the “woke” work at Gillette.

how dare we ask men to not be bullies, not harrass women, not engage in useless violence.

We already do that. How is a silly commercial going to help? I doubt any rapist or woman abuser saw that ad and decided to change.

 

You guys' problem is not with bullies or violent people, it is with "masculinity". Their words, not mine.

I've seen enough anti-bullying ads. This is not an anti-bullying ad.

 

But look at those men demonstrating their masculinity by breaking up the fight!! Without manly men, who be left to fight the bad ones?

Please someone write the script for this ad where you replace men -> women and whites -> blacks. Expose their double standards once and for all.

Men are historically and genetically built to hunt and fight... even for protection. Sorry, women were not. This doesnt excuse the actions, but qualifying them against any other gender or race is ridiculous.

That would be like criticizing women for predominately being responsible for postpartum depression and murdering her kids.

I watched this ad and found it very moving. It never mentioned toxic masculinity once, but it did show some men and boys bullying and harassing people, and others stepping up to put it to a stop. I've been bullied in the past and know women who have been harassed and can't agree more with this ad. True manhood is doing the right thing and standing up to people who are hurting others.

 

Will they do a Pantene commercial next that tells women to not dress like sluts and use sex to get their way when dealing with men?

I agree that bullying and sexism is wrong, but I don't need a razor commercial to tell me. Selling political views didn't work for the NFL and doesn't work for Gillette.

 

Being against bullying isn't a political view, its common sense. I think we need to stop being so sensitive about ads and let them advertise the way they want.
