This is quasi-criminal. Guaranteed that some people will die from this, and so close to a vaccine, therefore, they will be unnecessary deaths. This retirement community has 120,000 residents... and they do a packed event for 3,000 of them, maskless, and without social distancing?

Trump and Pence and Republican leaders seem to delight in minimal masks, deliberate tear off distancing barriers and markings.

There is no comparison. Rioters are violent thugs and always a minority, and most times there aren't any. That is why Fox News, Trump and other Right Wing sources repeat the identical fire scene, broken out building and police line breaking the heads of seniors and people holding a sign.

Over 35 years, and on a daily basis, I had to do a Hazard and Risk Assessment, thus, identify hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm.

 

This a retirement village that has 120,000 residents.

All of whom have a much higher chance of dying if infected than the rest of the population

And Pence has 3,000 of them packed in together...most with no masks.

Last I checked, I don't own any MSM entity; I wish (sounds profitable). Last I checked, I don't work for any MSM entity, thank God, and never have, since I'm a healthcare professional, not a journalist.

*MY* posts on this subject, any time riots and mass protests were mentioned, I said that it was imprudent for the exact same reason. I also never condoned looting and arson, and think that all who perpetrate these felonies must be arrested and prosecuted.

Pence held another outdoor event earlier in the day in Florida for Latinos For Trump. No one is upset about that event because more people showed up at The Village.

Earlier in the year, the Trump administration put out all the information we have about the virus. We get updates constantly from local/state health departments as well as the CDC/FDA. The virus appears to be just as contagious, but has become far less lethal.

The Republican message now is freedom and liberty for individuals to determine their own risk level and make personal decisions accordingly. The weak and vulnerable need to stay home. The healthy need to start to resume semi-normal living.

 

Let go your fear, and let your guard down. This pandemic is officially over.

It's pretty clear that the global plan is to reopen by early next year, if not sooner. That is Republicans, soon to be joined by Democrats in a few short weeks.

 

I tend to agree here.

They had a celebration turned loot fest in L.a. because the Lakers won, no mention of a super spreader. More than 10 Republicans get together and aits all about masks and infections.

Both events were dangerous and ridiculous given the infection rates in Fla.

The one in the Villages was INSANE given the vulnerability of those 120,000 elderly folks

 

I would expect people living in an upscale retirement community are well aware of their personal level of risk and mature enough to make a decision as to whether they should attend or stay home.
