As long as it stays conventional, let them kill each other for the next 100 years and I couldnt care less. If there is a credible threat of it going nuclear, I think the US should step in somehow. How, I have no clue. I just dont believe we should sit idly by while 2 nuclear armed 3rd world countries exchange WMDs
I read today that India is also claiming they shot down a Pakistani plane and each side is denying the other had success...We'll see.
Both are nuclear powers and our president evidently is intent on making Saudi Arabia one??So much for nuclear non proliferation.
And a 1st strike policy. In India's case, they also have a rapid escalation doctrine in effect in the event of war with Pakistan or China so the West won't have time to stop them like they did in the 90s. If this goes hot, India will be invading before the sternly worded letters are even finished and Pakistan will be nuking said invaders in a desperate attempt to hold the line. Once that happens, who knows how things develop.
