I will still oppose it I will still point out very rationally why it is self-refuting, and I will help people understand it. if it makes you angry that I don't agree with your opinion about what it is I don't think it will make a difference. We will vote to ban it and you can continue to squawk on and on about how people don't know what it is.

Lets see who gets farther, someone who can speak respectively to others about something they haven't had the opportunity to understand or the smug type declaring others can't possibly know something that is really rather simple to understand.

It seems arrogantly declaring people don't understand something isn't winning. who would have thought being condescending and rude to people wouldn't work.

CRT is simple you are just attempting to insult people to shame them into not questioning it.

Why wouldn't you learn about the thing that you are passionately trying to ban (or passionately trying to support)? Remaining ignorant seems plain stupid.

Because they don't really care about it. They see desantis making laws against it and hear certian people talking about it and base their viewpoint strictly on that. it isn't that complex. they don't want to learn about it because they don't care.

And there is the problem with Democracy. A Democracy depends upon an informed electorate but is usually the victim to an uninformed one.

Not to mention in this context there's nothing democratic about one person being empowered to prevent a school from providing access to a publication because she found it offensive.

Sure there is and it worked in this case. She found it offensive and the library board, or whoever, addressed the concern. They could have ignored her demand or banned the book but instead, simply moved it to an appropriate shelf. It was the media that decided to be ignorant and report complete BS in order to spin up the ignorant liberals that they knew wouldn't try to get the details. It was like yelling fire in a theater that showed a film about a fire.

    Oh, come on.

When has a gun ever massacred anyone without a demented human to pull the trigger?

Where we vote in our leaders via Democracy. We are not a PURE Democracy where every decision is decided by a vote, but an uninformed electorate is just as dangerous in our form of government. As evidenced by the election of people like Trump, Boebert, Greene, Gaetz and Santos.

How many times has a demented person ever killed dozens of people at one time without using a gun?

Yeah it is a constitutional republic not at all a democracy. we use the democratic process to choose some leaders. the country isn't a democracy.
