The coward of Broward lost his protector in Sheriff Israel. Seems Israel went soft on him after the shooting because the CoB helped keep the Sheriff's son out of trouble for some incidents. By hiding behind a pole he allowed the shooter unrestricted access to the kids in the building for several minutes until officers from another jurisdiction finally arrived and went into confront the shooter and by then it was too late, the damage had been done. This was a tragic incident that had many elements that could have led to its prevention. From the dozens of times the shooter was involved with law enforcement to the poor response of the Sheriff's department to the insane policies of the school district and the Obama education department that sought to achieve racial balance in punishment regimes and not punish minorities for actual crimes to reduce the "school to prison" pipeline, there was no need for this to have happened. Yet the Democrats see the solution is to take away 2nd Amendment rights of people who had nothing to do with it. Reviewing that CNN "town hall" in which the slimy Sheriff Israel and Shaved Guevara and David Hoggthelimelight were allowed to berate Dana Loesch and Senator Rubio and law abiding gun owners in light of what we know now of the cowardice and incompetence of Israel and the Sheriff's Department and stupid school policies is a rage inducing experience.
While the above development may amount to "interesting" it is most likely that the conviction will be overturned on appeal by the united state supreme court, finding the resource officer is protected from the legal consequences of their actions by qualified immunity.
