Listening to any of Hogg's material gives me the distinct impression he is reciting talking points previously learned. He has all the behavior patterns of a play actor, and so do a few of the others. The MSM is far too compromised to offer anything but the propaganda spin. If they wanted to prove the story true they would provide footage showing Hogg doing the shooting. They have not because they cannot.
Clearly Hogg was not the shooter, and clearly Cruz was not the shooter. Apologies for my earlier mis-type. We won't know who the shooters were. Maybe they were the same guys hired to do the shooting at San Bernardino or Pulse? We can only speculate.

Nobody has proved Cruz was the shooter, and at least 2 staff members who saw the shooter(s) described them dressed differently than Cruz was dressed. This is another example of a grand story being told with no evidence at all to support the story, and too many other facts that work against the story.
yet somehow you know that Cruz wasn't the shooter ... and, you trust witnesses at the scene of the shooting yet don't trust witnesses that conflict with your bias ... you know, like all the witnesses that saw a large airliner impact the Pentagon ... all actors right? ...
No, I strongly suspect that Cruz was not the shooter. Whether you are able to grok it or not, there is a difference.
