The stories were different depending on whether you lived in Judah or Israel. Around 500 BC king Omri hired scribes to combine the stories in a single narrative.. It was a political move to try and reunite the two.

    Read this.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yam_Suph

The actual Biblical Translation say's that Moses CROSSED THE REED SEA....it does not say Moses parted the Red sea.

The Vatican has admitted this is a mistranslation. and Moses did not part the Red Sea.

Yam Suf just means body of water.. which was a fearful thing for the Israelites. Many scholars believe Exodus story is a metaphor for coming out of the "slavery of ignorance"...

Yam Suph (Hebrew: יַם-סוּף) is a phrase which occurs about 23 times in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible/Old Testament) and has traditionally been understood to refer to the salt water inlet located between Africa and the Arabian peninsula, known in English as the Red Sea. More recently, alternate western scholarly understandings of the term have been proposed for those passages where it refers to the Israelite Crossing of the Sea as told in Exodus 13-15. These proposals would mean that Yam Suph is better translated in these passages as Sea of Reeds or Sea of Seaweed; see Egyptian reed fields, also described as the ka of the Nile Delta. In Jewish sources I Kings 9:26 "yam suph" is translated as Sea of Reeds at Eilat on the Gulf of Eilat.

That's about trying to locate a place that identifies the narrative.. Reeds only grow in fresh water.

I am a Master Diver and I can tell you there are all sorts of Reeds that grow in salt water inlets like this.

AboveAlpha....p.s...it also translates into Sea of Seaweed.

Anyway's...the point is that this is just ONE mistranslation existing in the Bible and there are MANY MORE.

The Old Testament is a bunch of STORIES....written by ancient man who was barely out of the Stone Age and trying to make sense of existence.

The New Testament was created by the edict of the Roman Emperor Constantine and many Gospels and Books were not chosen to be included as they presented conflicts in the Imperial Christian Ideology.

I am also a diver.. You won't see any reeds growing in water that has the salinity of the Red Sea.

The Reed Sea is an inlet located between Africa and the Arabian peninsula....even if you have ever been to the Jersey Shore between places like Wild Wood and Ocean City there are salt water inlets where Reeds grow in mass.

Those place are part and parcel of Jewish history unless you are going to deny that the Jews have fought wars against the Babylonians, Assyrians, Philistines and Persians?

Don't tell me that, tell that to the secular or atheist scientist.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_bridge

In the 19th century a number of scientists noted puzzling geological and zoological similarities between widely separated areas. To solve these problems, "Â…whenever geologists and paleontologists were at a loss to explain the obvious transoceanic similarities of life that they deduced from the fossil records, they sharpened their pencils and sketched land bridges between appropriate continents."[1] The concept was first proposed by Jules Marcou in Lettres sur les roches du Jura.[2]
    These hypothetical land bridges included:[3]
Archatlantis from the West Indies to North Africa
Archhelenis from Brazil to South Africa
    Archiboreis in the North Atlantic
Archigalenis from Central America through Hawaii to Northeast Asia
Archinotis from South America to Antarctica
    Lemuria in the Indian Ocean
All of these became obsolete with the gradual acceptance of continental drift and the development of plate tectonics by the mid-20th century.

Tell that to the scientist not me they are the ones that claim dinosaurs suddenly disappear with out a trace and they are not sure why.
    http://www.lifestudiesonline.com/dinosaurs/extinct.htm

Probably the most popular theory right now is the Asteroid Theory. According to this theory a large asteroid or comet collided with Earth about 65 million years ago. Scientists think that such a large collision would throw so much dust into the air that sunlight would not be able to shine and plants and animals would die. The dramatic changes in climate that resulted from this huge collision were too much for the dinosaurs. They were not able to survive.
Another theory that could explain how the dinosaurs became extinct is volcanic activity. A huge increase in volcanic activity at around 65 millions years ago could have pumped so much ash into the air that it blocked out the sun killing the dinosaurs.
Some scientists believe that there was a severe ice age. Throughout Earth's history there have been many ice ages. The last one ended about 10,000 years ago. A very severe ice age could have changed temperatures and frozen a lot of Earth's water. The dinosaurs would not be able live under such conditions and that is how the dinosaurs became extinct.

The sudden disappearance of the dinosaurs from the fact of this earth worldwide coincide with the Biblical Noah's flood that lasted fro more than 40 days a world wide catastrophe occur that resulted in great destruction. Scientist do agree that such a global catastrophe can happen that explains the sudden disappearance of dinosaurs probably in less than 60 days they are died because of lack of food, water and disease cause by a catastrophic natural disaster that prevented those creatures from finding food.

Scientist have also agree the existence with the discovery of Biblical accounts the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and Jericho as describe by the Bible.

As I said everything in the Bible from Leviticus to the New Testament are very accurate with all the places and events the only thing that is still being research is the Genesis and parts of Exodus. Just like the secular and atheist scientist that have no answers to the origin of life or universe they too are continuing searching and they have come up with all kinds of theories that in the end will only lead to one super atom and that is God the designer and creator of the universe and life.

Have you been diving in the Red Sea or Persian Gulf? Its NOT England or the Jersey Shore.

This isn't about the origins of life.. Its about dinosaurs at this point. They didn't die out suddenly.

I am talking about the REED SEA....which is neither the RED SEA or the PERSIAN GULF!!!!!

It is the inlet marshy and reed filled tidal area where Moses and the Hebrews crossed.

MOSES DID NOT PART THE RED SEA!

And what fresh water sea was that between Goshen and Palestine?

    http://www.beliefnet.com/Faiths/Judaism/2004/12/Did-The-Exodus-Really-Happen.aspx#

    Did the Exodus really happen?

Two million people and their herds could NOT have survived in Sinai.. There is NO water or pasture and the Sinai was under Egyptian control.

Lots of mistranslations in the Bible because most of the OT is myth.. Moses was not a Jew.. He and Aaron and their extended families were Horites.

They were eating Manna when they had sheep and dried dung for fire?

There is no water and no pasture. Its a ten day walk across Sinai to Palestine... and there is NO record of 2 million people ever leaving Egypt which had a population of about 4 million people.

Egyptian garrisons were stationed in Sinai to collect tribute from several Canaanite towns that were involved in mining, metallurgy and pottery making.

    The story is allegorical.

There was a Flood thousands of years ago well before the time Noah was purported to exist.

The Black Sea and the Med Sea were separated by a land mass. The Black Sea was a FRESH BODY OF WATER and the Med is and was Salt Water.

That land mass that separated them collapsed and flooded the lower in sea level area surrounding the Black Sea.

It is IMPOSSIBLE....even if all ice packs melted on Earth for water to cover all land masses.

The Egyptians describe the exit of the EVIL ONE's...as they called the Hebrews and this did happen.

As far as the number of people that is conjecture.

The Black Sea "flood" was a creeping event.. some six inches a day... Plenty of time to move family and livestock to higher ground.
