As hard as you are trying to make science partisan, it simply is not. Climate theories don't care who you voted for, for instance. That's kind of the point of science. And it is a fact that there sesms to be an active effort to undermine science in this country. Do you disagree?

It was a reflection to the unkind things particular members say back to me and I know their voting preferences. I may have one member on ignore. Shall check the list to find out and perhap clear that list. I do not recognize them as liberal much less tolerant. I was once a devoted Democrat and I could not change until I put out a lot of study.
I openly disclose the material that changed me. From the book by William E. Simon called the Time for Truth to works by Thomas Paine and much more, I realized finally how Government is paid to carry out a duty list. So we check with the constitution to learn that list. We then say what government is not there for. Government is not our baby sitter. We can also purchase one if we must be babysitted. When it is assigned socialist functions, it goes out of control. What we wanted is not what we got. People are not content with health care or the costs is just one example. Forcing all of us to buy insurance is an insult to liberty. Liberty and justice for all was no wild idea.

But i can't say in several sentences what I l learned over a number of years nor put up for display all the wisdom in the books I read and the lessons learned here.

All I can do is urge all of us to try looking at the foundation of the constitutional documents. Some members also advise studying the anti federalist papers and I agree plus read the federalist papers. Those answer many questions.

We must not be a servant of Government. Founders waged a long war to gain liberty and justice and we can tell by their very light hand on making laws they did not intend we have a congress of masters, all devoted to creating many more laws.

I am doing the opposite. I want science to work as intended and not as a tool to rule our lives. I do not want science to be used to foment some serious arguments. No, I believe the typical American seems to me not to have a solid footing in science. They were handed political views that they adopted. And it clashes with liberty and justice, a bit of a topic I discussed in post 137. Supposedly we are lousy people who hate earth and it's people if we refuse to be bound by Democrats and in other lands, some party that operates as the Democrats in America act.

Though it is many years in my past, during Grade school from grade 7 to 8 as I recall, I had a serious interest in science so in high school I furthered it by taking and having excellent grades in science courses. I did miss in high school taking biology and Chemistry but made up for Chemistry by taking it in College. I so enjoy math I got proficient in Calculus which is a wonderful gift to society by Isaac Newton. How many Americans studied the higher maths? But more than that, over the years, one must keep up with science. We are not as good with science as those whose daily work is science. But a biologist is not going to be as up to date on climate as the climatologist is. So all have some sort of niche to work inside of. I happen to have needed during training to understand weather. Non scientists explain that climate is not weather yet if the same conditions exist at A as at B, with the same weatfher, we can assume they are virtual twin climates.

Take my very local area here in the SF Bay Area. I may warm today to 80 degrees. Several miles away it will be 100 degrees. Both areas will be rain free. One will feel awesome but the other 10 miles away will feel miserable.
So if their 20 more degrees does not kill them, who am I to worry if the average temperature of earth is increased by 5 degrees. And nobody is trying to tell me we face such a change globally. Still what takes place in TX is not a worry for those in Costa Rica nor Turkey. If I did not make my point, simply inquire.

I do not believe either that science should be a tool used by politicians to prey on humans and try to frighten them so much that government rules them totally.

Since this topic was started by me, I am not griping that others changed course from alien life to things such as we now discuss. I am far more tolerant than to demand all of you stick to life not of this planet.

Because you are not looking at it correctly. By the way, 5 degrees is a huge increase. That sort of quick, sustained rise will drastically affect our food chain, for or instance. Your error is to transpose local weather with global climate.
False. Emissions anywhere in the world affect the entire world.

And climate scientists are calling for far more drastic measures than is any politician. You suggest that our arguments should not be informed by science? And what should they be informed by? Should they be informed by people who have no idea what they are talking about?

and we are still somewhat on topic, as we are discussing both the value of evidence-based determinations and the worthlessness of claims made without evidence.

Until you submit proof I looked at it incorrectly, i believe I did look at it very accurately.

I showed by actual daily example how 5 degrees does not harm a thing.

Even 20 degrees is not harming climate.

No, emissions hurt locally. There are vast differences in cities in India vs those in Nebraska or even here in CA.

By the way, your own qualifications please. Math, climate courses taken, science courses passed in college? And of course I am fighting the politicians and not the scientists. There are many scientists that are common to me and how I look at this situation.

I agree that evidence prevails. So where is the vast global flooding happening? Even the flat state Florida is not besieged by such dramatic floods.

Will you do us all this enormous favor.

List the global deserts that are hot. I am taking into account that not all deserts are super hot.

Study each desert to note heat waves and the hottest all time periods.

Get back to me if you find they are getting hotter.

Second issue. Take a long look from space station or satellite views of the global clouds. Clouds are good for doing what to temperatures? Do you notice an enormous blanket of clouds? Actually have you ever taken time to study the clouds seen by the astronauts?

When scientists tell you not to worry, why do you then worry?

I see. And precisely what proof would convince you? High school freshman are taught the difference between local weather and global climate. If you are seeking such a basic primer, then you need to do your own research.
No, because meteorologists and atmosoheric scientists do that for us. What an absurd question....

you're not understanding the difference between weather and climate as Mamasaid has pointed out...temp on an individual day isn't significant on it's own when it's averaged in with many above normal temps year after year then it becomes significant...

using your example 5c colder may not even seem significant either on any given day but make it a trend that influences climate, an average 5c cooler world puts the planet into an ice age...the temps life today has adapted to is relatively knife edge thin, 5c too warm or too cold can trigger catastrophic environmental collapse...and despite what doubters claim there is no adaptation to an event that occurs over 100-150 years, that's light speed in geological/biological terms...

and yeah, Florida is slowly but surely flooding, there's absolutely no doubt...don't buy a bargain oceanfront condo in Miami...

I do agree with you that this is indeed earth shaking information.........
partly because humans who know a fair bit about this would be unwilling to
remain stuck with the Internal Combustion Engine.........

I believe that the info on aliens actually fits with the Jewish, Christian, Mormon and many other types of scriptures.......

On the other hand, many indigenous natives in many parts of the world have long-standing traditions about their "Gods" coming down from the sky, becoming their rulers, and teaching the people how to do things new and advanced. Many of them also state that the "Gods" sometimes did marvelous construction in extremely short amounts of time. We can conveniently leave Von Daniken out of the picture if so desired.

I don't see any change in the story. If "phased out" really bothers you, it is just my shorthand for dematerialized.

The narrative is from Dr. Greer; if you want to discount everything that he describes, that's your legitimate right.

He is one of four or five top proponents of UFO/alien involvement, but only one of the others insists that humans/government are the good guys and aliens are the baddies. Another person has stated that the wealth of classified/secret documents leaked to these guys are only what the deep state wants them to reveal. This info is available on YouTube concerning Dr. Stephen Greer.

He offers guided tours where people can communicate telepathically with the ETs and witness rendezvous with a UFO, but his sample videos of a typical nighttime UFO arrival are vague. Thus I'm not totally sold on his spiel.

That sounds exactly like a scam to rip off the gullible.

Thanks for discrediting your own source.

So what? They were ignorant people, trying to explain things without the tools of knowledge.

He did not seem to be excited in his post. He asked a straightforward and very simple question.

That you refused to answer a simple question suggests that YOU might be the excited one. At least very insecure, so insecure you can't offer an answer.

The Canadian's testimony is consistent with many other facts.

You seem to be made anxious by the fact that aliens are real.

    Yes.

Which is why he made no confession at all he only made a ludicrous claim without any supporting evidence.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and without it he is a liar. Canadian defense minister is not an honesty qualifier.

False. He has not a shred of evidence, much less the mountain of extraordinary evidence one would be expected to provide of such an outrageous claim, lest that person be rightfully dismissed. And his insistence with 100% confidence, in light of zero evidence, should be mocked.

as someone(possibly you) has already pointed out...wild claims of UFO and bigfoot and such accepted as true entirely without evidence...when it comes to the science required climate change and the mountains of evidence behind it, it's fake news, a deep state conspiracy by the socialists at NASA!

I believe what you told me is he did not walk an alien into the room and put the alien on display.

Frankly were you an alien on other planets, would you walk into a room with what you find on this planet?

We are as a group pretty violent.

So, let's say you live in the Congo. And never have you seen any sort of bear. And you are told of a Polar bear and told it feeds on seals. Funny that you never saw any seals either. So your neighbor says to you, show me a Polar bear and a seal or you are lying? How do you handle that?

The smart thing for Aliens to do is not show up in public. At the rate we Americans are, we will talk each other out of them. I consider them plausible only because very well qualified pilots have reported them. They spend so much time in the air they know what is normal and strange, such as Chemtrails and what is not supposed to be out there. Also there are vast numbers of humans that report aliens ships. As to seeing Aliens, smart Aliens stay smart by not showing their faces to many of us. We will fight each other over it rather than ask the smart questions.

President George W. Bush was asked the direct question. Mr. Former President, have you seen the Governments materials on UFOS? Bush stated he has seen the material. So Mr Bush, do you believe in UFOs. Bush replied that he could not discuss such classified material.

    Short version then longer version

Well qualified pilots KNOW that there are no such things as "Chemtrails".

What is observed are merely CONDENSATION TRAILS consisting of water vapor turned into ice crystals.

That shoe might fit for a congressman, lobbyist, or some form of liberal crony capitalist. It doesn't jive too well with giving up medical practice to pursue alien/UFO disclosure etc. He is also strong on the need for development of technologically advanced means of public energy production so we can get weaned off of damaging means such as oil. What he is doing seems to be anything but a rip off. If it's a scam, then so is MUFON.
