Hunt: Showdown is a good game, and so is Remant: From the Ashes.

However, ever since WoW Classic got released I've been playing that a lot.

The biggest problem is that Civ V isn't much of a challenge. Way too many easy victories, vs the AI especially at levels King or lower. PLay The Shoshone who in my opinion are broken. Plus 15% defense of home territory and scouts promote to composite bowmen instead of archers, are better on the attack before the promotion and let you choose from a plate of options when you kick over a goody hut. I've got VI my son bought it for me for fathers day unfortunately my graphics card isn't quite good enough.

If V is that easy, I should give it a considered try (I've loaded it up but with my ADD found myself playing other things before really giving it proper effort.) Thanks for the tip off on that one.

Like chess All Civ games have an opening Middle and endgame the end game can be pretty boring. Depending on the type of victory you're after. I've won Diplomatic victories and cultural victories. But I tend to be fairly non violent. I also play on a huge map and use the marathon time setting around 30 hours to victory. There are 10 AI controlled civs and the most I've ever conquered is 2 and that was because they kept attacking me.

What is your rig like? I've seen GTX 1050 selling for as little as $90. Dunno if you'd consider upgrading.

Desk top I've got a better one waiting for me as soon as my son's friends send him the new graphics cards.

Lot of fun stuff to do out there. I can play Civ V on a I7 laptop without a discrete graphic card. I have to think whatever you get next 6 will work. I reloaded 5 and hope to have some fun with it. If I do well, I well may go back to 4 which I have through Steam! From what I'm hearing, that was a high point.

I vaguely remember hearing about that one having problems. Damned console ports.

    It's still your drivers.

What video card do you have.

Does it have 6GB of video RAM? That's the minimum requirement.

    Some 1060's only have 3GB.

You got the stable drivers from Nvidia website and not the experimental ones right?

I know about this one because I had to fix it on my kids computer.

There were also some files I had to delete in the RDR2 "settings" folder I think.

Downloaded the new drivers via device management and deleted a couple files in the settings folder (every file not labeled .bin). Seems to be working now, but my confidence is not high.

I recently got Fallout 4, like it.

Got Doom Eternal a couple days ago, don't like it.

Got a Nvidia 1070, and the new drivers degraded the visuals in Skyrim Special Edition. Which I still play.

Did you get the addon to Fallout 4, "Far Harbor"? It adds a separate map that covers all of Mount Desert Island.

Getting into OpenTTD and played with some friends last night. For a 26 year old game, it holds up pretty well.

Just wish I could rotate the map, once towns build up, it gets pretty hard to find my depots.

Some of the old games have something I wish I could find in new games.

The first real gaming card came with Mechwarrior 2, which I just loved. Most of what came later wasn't as good. I'd still like to play Total Annihilation occasionally, but it doesn't run on new computers. I can still play the original Borderlands, but it's charm is in it's multiplayer, and nobody does that now. Some of the best dialogue ever, "This planet smells like hemorrhoids wrapped in bacon."
