Pelosi Statement Condemning Antifa Violence in Berkeley
San Francisco — Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement denouncing the violent protests carried out this weekend in Berkeley, California:

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts. The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.

Wonder how the far left faction of the democrat party will respond to this?

Its rare to hear of democrats condemning Antifa, a violent anti-first amendment group.

 

Must have been after a tough day at the plastic surgeon coupled with about 6 dirty martinis.

 

Good for her. And it's about time.

 

Unexpected move from Pelosi.

Could be part of a trend or perhaps for once she is trying to take a side with the truth in the face of those who tacitly or actively support antifa.

Either way it is the first time she has said anything I agree with

 

We will know when we see if her brethren in the media repeat it.

 

She's just rolling with the poll numbers, most people don't like Antifa even though they're a bunch of liberals.

 

Well it is interesting after Pelosi basically sicced the left on peaceful protests.

 

Perhaps dems have figured out that these anarchist commies want someone in power far to the left of the mainstream dem establishment.

Or perhaps its because the violence has become a liability

 

Pelosi didn't really have a choice. Nobody was buying the ANTIFA=Heroes bit, so she put her finger to the wind and made a statement.

 

I'll hold my breath until CNN reports on this.

 

My guess is her internal polling shows Americans from both sides are tiring of these a$$es and these idiots reflect mainly on Democrat party. 2018 is not that far away.

 

Or both.

 

It will be interesting to see. Looks like the Mayor of Berkeley and the LA times have singled out antifa as well. The Mayor wants Antifa classified as a gang.

Could be. I read somewhere, I don't remember where, that some ex-ANTIFA were protesting Soros because they got stiffed. I heard this about a week ago.
