Pelosi called Trump's bluff on that point. If the votes are there, like you and he claimed, then ****ing vote on it in the House.

You won't and he won't because you do not have the votes - even in the House.

When has there ever been a 3000 mile wall along the US southern border?

See, proof that lefties want open borders and crime to flourish. What? Stealing votes from cemeteries is not good enough? :roflol:

Even if that statistic was not a completely bullshit statistic, do you think the wall is going to magically stop the US from spending 100$ billion per year?

You are responding to a post where I explicitly said I support spending several billion on border security. Go back on ignore.

I sincerely wish she hadn't gone that route. It's difficult for dems to take the high ground when they sink to Trump's level. She was wrong for it...

Gee, did you poll every House Republican? Don't loose it here buddy, it's looking sketchy....

I just saw a House Republican interviewed on TV saying they absolutely have the votes to provide the $5 billion, but they are waiting on signals from the Senate to insure it will be passed there. Either way, he claimed the bill will be voted on and passed next week.

In fact, I also just heard Republicans may take up a vote in the House on a separate bill that specifically authorizes $5 billion.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...vote-on-245b-for-trump-border-wall/ar-BBQQDOd

House Republican leaders are contemplating bringing legislation to the floor that would provide the $5 billion President Trump is demanding for a wall on the Mexican border, even though it is far from clear they can win 218 Republican votes for the legislation.
So, perhaps Think Progress or Vox haven't got you caught up yet.

Walls are part of security, border security. Does your house of a door with a lock on it? Does it have walls? :)

Your source. Pelosi called Trump's bluff. Do it if you think you can.

My house does not have a 3000 mile border which would require a 25$ billion dollars for that wall.

Sorry, I should not have responded. Go back on ignore.

But your entire house is protected by walls? Of course it is. Your job is to protect your house, not the entire street or neighborhood or the world, silly. Your doors have locks to protect you and your family. Right? Of course they have locks. It would be stupid to allow anyone to come in and take what is rightfully yours. Or to live in your house free of charge and against your will.

Back on ignore is so childish and just proves you are losing the battle. As you usually do. :)

Because your house is exactly like a country.

    Good analogy.

So you admit you don't have a source yourself. Probably explains why you resort to insults when attempting to argue a point.

    https://weatherinternal.com/2018/12...have-votes-to-pass-5-billion-in-wall-funding/

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) expressed 100% confidence that he has the votes to pass a bill that has $5 billion in border wall funding. Host Martha MacCallum asked, “[A]re you guys going to be able to pass a bill that has $5 billion in wall funding before you leave for the holidays, or are you going to be here throughout Christmas, and perhaps throughout New Year’s?” McCarthy answered, “Well, the answer here is yes in the House.

The question is, it takes 60 votes in the Senate, would Senator Schumer (D-NY) want to have another shutdown like he had before?” MacCallum followed up, “So, you do have 218 votes in the House to pass $5 billion for wall funding, you’re 100% confident on that?” McCarthy responded, “Yes I am.”

Why is this even being discussed? Trump doesn’t lie and Trump said the border would be paid for by Mexico.

So the democrats will be holding SS and medicare hostage since they shouldn't be effected by a shut down? I always find it amazing on these "shutdowns" that my taxes are still taken, but democrats claim the payments cant be processed. Pretty spiteful if you ask me.

They are harder to find like when illegals come over the border illegally and are released on their own recognizance? They usually put forth some contribution to the country while they were legally here? Could be many factors of why one group, including those coming in on visas from African and middle eastern countries, aren't being in the crosshairs as much as the easier to rectify border crossings.
