Pelosi says Biden shouldn't debate Trump: 'I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Thursday that former Vice President Joe Biden cancel his three scheduled debates with President Trump because the commander-in-chief would "belittle" the forum and engage in "skullduggery."

"I don't think that there should be any debates," Pelosi said out of the blue at a news conference at the Capitol, saying she doesn't want the debates to be "an exercise in skullduggery."

"I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States. Now I know that the Biden campaign thinks in a different way about this."

I wonder the reason for this is. Is she nuts? Did she find something out about Hiden Biden's mental capacity? Is she just a bitter and mean old hag that can't stand any type of adversity? Biden can't afford to NOT debate. It would give out a huge indicator that he is cognitively impaired. Trump would ride that horse big time. Maybe crazy loon is just crazy loon.

 

She is right. They have a better chance if there are no debates and voting doesn't require a pulse.

 

The rats are running for the life rafts. LOL

 

And so the ducking and dodging begins.

 

So the Dem playbook is keep Biden in the basement bunker locked away. Have zero debates. Overun the Postal Service with universial ballots, over run the state register with those same ballots, and then never concede the election, so that they can find a way to win......interesting plan to undermine the election

Mittens Romney went to sleep at the end of his campaign and it cost him the race. Clinton did the same. If he doesn't get out there and work for it he has no chance. That is a lesson Democrats seem to not understand generally in life. It's the party of "gimme".

Ggawd007, if you really believe the polls at this point then that would be extremely short sighted and a huge mistake.

 

You don't debate when you are winning. Biden currently is winning. This is about election strategy. The risk is choosing not to debate may cost undecided or independent voters.

I would put one requirement out there to debate Trump.

1) Release your tax returns like all other transparent candidates have

I would offer to then add the extra debate Trump wants if he does that. Since he won't do that, he will now be the one torching the debate and Biden will maintain cover to not debate with those independents and undecideds many of whom mistrust Trump for his orange opaqueness.

 

Dear Madam Speaker, this is the kind of behavior that has left your House impotent. It's the same behavior that has disabled much needed assistance to small businesses under the grip of the government.

No matter what the configuration of Congress is, I demand your resignation. You clearly are incapable of serving your constituents and you're a more destructive figure than anyone presently in the government.

 

Any "requirements" Team No Malarkey puts on the debates is going to look exactly like what it is- an attempt to weasel out of a debate they know will be disastrous for Joe, because his brain is a rusty kazoo.

 

I wonder who is more daft, Pelosi or Hiden Biden.

I dare him to run from the debates. If he is so cowardly to refuse to debate a candidate, how cowardly would he be in office. Thats all that will be seen.

Pelosi must be terrified the debates will be Biden's undoing. Maybe she's imagining a medley of dog-faced-pony-soldier insults, forgetting if he's running for the Senate or he's still the VP, or another attempt at the Declaration of you know the thing.... while he drools and sniffs Kamala's hair and reminds us how articulate Obama was for a black guy. Maybe he can inspire the younger generation by reminding them poor kids are just as smart as white kids, and if all else fails, he can keep the black folks on the plantation by reminding them they ain't black if they don't vote for him. I hope he's still planning to get us back into the Paris Peace accord! Remember, Joe 30330!
